no human resistance against the darkness
The gardians are the only thing standing between the darkness and an invasion of that last safe city but what about the humans that didn't get the travelers power?
The city is huge and I see no effort to build a military and it sucks
The last mission when you have to kill the heart of the vex the heart is in the open and un protected and I'm like god dumb it if this was halo the unsc would have Mac cannoned that shit.
There is no set military for the civilians humanity relies on some gardians running around like dumb asses killin shit
There needs to be some kind of resistance other that the guardians to protect the city it makes me feel like I'm fighting for some dumb ass city to lazy to protect them selves

They do make brief mention of City security forces with tactical shotguns and artillery teams on the wall. Other than that, there really isn't much mention of military units other than guardians. There aren't any warships or gunships in Destiny for some odd reason. Which is odd considering just how popular the set pieces were in Halo Reach. Watching massive frigates shell enemies and gunships duke it out in the distance was quite a sight to behold.

Would be nice to see a resistance, if this was based on 10 years or so after our so called "space manifest" wouldn't you think we try to protect what is ours instead of letting guardians do the job? It would make alot of sense and add to the story

2 RepliesAs far as the vex heart goes, the black garden doesn't even exist in space or time; the only way in is how the guardian gets in. So I'm sure it felt pretty safe.

Plus, all of the best weapons and gear are kept safe on the on the tower by glimmer grubbing Cryptarchs and Vanguards. Remember all those dead Guardians you find during story missions? They could have used a few legendary items. Time for a change in tower leadership.
