What's up with the lame reward system? Why do I keep getting level14 or 16 or 18 equipment from green or blue orbs? Why haven't I even seen a purple orb? Even from the cryptarch, who I've cleverly named "the Garbage Man" I'm lvl 22 hunter on ps4? Is there something I'm doing wrong. Anyone?

Try buying some gear from your class vender at the tower to rise your lvl. Once you get to 24 or 25 the gear will start falling. I hit 25 yesterday and got 5 legendaries from running tiger strikes.

Keep at it mate I only started getting good things at 24. Try crucible got the best guns from there. I recieved a exotic weapon when I still haven't had a ledgendary one yet lol

Garbage man is a good name. But u need to be 24 before u really start finding exotic/legendary unless u get real lucky. I had to buy my chest piece first so I could rank high enough to play higher

I've been level 24 for 5 days now. And I can't get any good drops from either crucible or strikes.. :( I bought some legendary gear but I don't have enough to level.

All that "junk" gives you materials to upgrade the good stuff
