Nexus and the spot on the moon is an exploit. You can't argue that it isn't. Whether or not you invest a lot of time, you are literally exploiting the respawn mechanism. The cave on earth is a legitimate farming method. The problem with the earth cave is the way bungee designed the loot system. A level 5 should never drop max level gear, especially upgrades for players who hit the hard level cap.

Learn what an exploit is, moron. I suggest you actually read my post before attempting to type another incoherent statement.

Ok, 3 questions. 1)Are you taking advantage of the mobs being so close to the spawn point? 2)Is that how bungie intended the checkpoint system to be used? 3)If that isn't exploiting the checkpoint system what would you call it?

Yes, I am taking advantage of it. This is not the same as exploiting, as I am not taking advantage of any flaws in mechanics or glitches. 2. We won't know until they release a statement on it. 3. Farming

By the strict definition of the word exploit, this is exploiting. By the definition given in the original post this is not. So you're both right! My concern is if people doing this makes bungie patch the drop rates way down, which would be very bad for people who don't have much time to play. I need legendary items, I've not had any at all, I got green sleeves from a purple engram three times! I like that things are Special and not handed out easily or quickly, it keeps the feeling you get when you finally do get something which is an upgrade. A trade system would make any kind of farming a more serious issue, without one I agree that so long as the investment versus reward ratio is about right then why should I even care?

Point out the glitch or flaw that is being taken advantage of, if this is an exploit. Don't tell me about taking advantage of spawn rates as being the reason this is called an exploit, because it's not. The spawns are not glitched, nor are they inherently flawed: they're just high, just like everything else in the game.

Simplest definition of the word exploit is to make use of in such a way as to derive benefit. That is why I say that you were both correct. You defined exploit pretty clearly at the start in a more strict way relating to a game exploit, which I totally accept and agreed with. I did not suggest there is any cheating or glitching in this, but it's probably exploiting the good nature of your ghost as he continually resurrects you. 💀☺

What you're talking about is taking advantage of something. It's similar enough to exploiting that people get them confused all the time, but different enough that the terms need to be understood so that one doesn't confuse them.

Well, yes, that is how it seems the other guy was defining exploit, I was just trying to help you understand each other by saying so. I don't have a dictionary to hand, I'd hope my simplest definition is pretty close to it though, but like I said, I read and understood your definition pretty clearly and that is all that is relevant here, otherwise we descend into this sort of linguistic pedantry.
