To all people farming the Earth Hive Spot
Please stop being rude. Let me clarify something so we can all enjoy this spot while it is still available.
1. Back up. If you are standing next to the rocks by the ship, you are too close. You need to be right where the World Event spawns to be efficient.
2. Stop being dicks. Share the spot. It doesnt matter who kills it. as long as you are in the area you can get drops. No need to melee or step in front of someone.
3. Don't go in for ammo. If you run out, stand still for 30 seconds and your primary ammo will replenish. Go get something to drink. The less time you spend picking up ammo the more chance you have of a drop.
4. Take breaks! This can be tiring. If you are tired and others are there, just go do something else. It will stop you from being anxious and let others farm efficiently.
5. Pay attention to gestures. If you see someone walk in front of you and point back, it means you are messing up the spawn, or you are doing something wrong. People don't take time to do this without reason. Don't just stand there. When I see someone too far up, I point first at them, then towards the back. Just try to pay attention to what others are telling you.

What we are doing is farming for gear which is what every good player does some times in MMO's if you see some one bothering you or trolling tell everyone in the area to report them since trolling/girefing/unfriendly is a bannable offense

I would like to add that you can melee afk farmers off the cliff with some patience since they are affected by the melee even if the sparrow push goes through them ^^

What I like to do is go sit in the cave and make the nubs quit. When they eventually do, i join their game again and continue to troll.

Id rather go round killing the fallen/hive around the whole area it is so much better than just standing in one spot shooting at a cave but its always funny to run in the cave and then some body waves at u so you wave back before going round the area again

Meanwhile if my travels on Earth take me to this location I'll be more than happy to join you, inside the cave with my full set of Legendary gear (Minus the heavy weapon), all farmed by other means. I welcome those who join me for a dance.

4 RepliesAny jackwagon I see farming that spot and not letting folks grab up some kills for oh, say, Van Missions, you're getting avoided. It's a dick move to sit there when the beacons will continuously drop the "Hive Kill" missions, and yeah, it may be an easy place to grind, but when I see crap like I did tonight ( 5, yes freakin 5! level 25 and 26's) sitting and blocking that crap, it shows how poor your character is. The game is for fun man, so don't ruin other's fun because you're in a grind mood.

i was in a cave looking for loot when i noticed that some mobs were spawning and running outside. waited to see if this would happen again and indeed it deed. so you could stand inside the cave and should them at spot. looks like there are different behaviors for some points were mobs will respawn.

ok i'm guilty i'm new to this sort of game and saw some guys doing this at a cave spot so I stood next to them killing stuff as well. I thought it was some weird kind of mission they were on as they were all higher ranks than me now I find out its cheating the game.

23 RepliesI love ruining that farming spot. They run over and try to T-Bag and shoot until I move. I don't. They go to orbit thinking it'll be a new server....SUPRISE! Same one. I'm still there. :)

If killing low lvl enemies is a form of cheating, bungie has A LOT of work ahead of them to fix that. If higher lvl enemies wld only drop rares or better people wldnt do this. The drop system is such crap. For example, if I beat a boss on a lvl 24 strike, it wld be nice to get a rare or better drop from him. I don't want lvl 10 green gear when I'm lvl 26. Loot shld be specific to your lvl and higher lvl enemies shld be giving you decent drops. If this was fixed, not near as many people wld "cheat"

I do this for the materials needed to upgrade my gear. If I get something good, that's just a bonus.

13 RepliesStop cheating. This is the same as all you who abused GTA V's car selling glitch. This spawn is clearly not working properly. Quit taking advantage of it. I hope you all get rolled back for using it.
