To all people farming the Earth Hive Spot
Please stop being rude. Let me clarify something so we can all enjoy this spot while it is still available.
1. Back up. If you are standing next to the rocks by the ship, you are too close. You need to be right where the World Event spawns to be efficient.
2. Stop being dicks. Share the spot. It doesnt matter who kills it. as long as you are in the area you can get drops. No need to melee or step in front of someone.
3. Don't go in for ammo. If you run out, stand still for 30 seconds and your primary ammo will replenish. Go get something to drink. The less time you spend picking up ammo the more chance you have of a drop.
4. Take breaks! This can be tiring. If you are tired and others are there, just go do something else. It will stop you from being anxious and let others farm efficiently.
5. Pay attention to gestures. If you see someone walk in front of you and point back, it means you are messing up the spawn, or you are doing something wrong. People don't take time to do this without reason. Don't just stand there. When I see someone too far up, I point first at them, then towards the back. Just try to pay attention to what others are telling you.

There are actually two spots on earth that the hive spawn. One is by the helicopters and the other is by the broken ships which are level 20's

Thank you! Finally someone has made a post about this. I have left and came back and had rare and legendaries drop while I was away so just work with each other. If anyone is on PSN and want to join me in farming the location later around 3 send me an invite TJ92.

Aka the ones who are calling it an exploit, because they are too lazy to get in on it. Also EXCELLENT post. I couldn't agree more with Every point. Also join up in fireteams and chat is another idea. I find that chatting with others makes the time fly by and the mononity doesn't really get to you.

I really love this spot. Its so easy to get engrams and finally get the gear other people get from going into the crucible or strike playlist a couple times. In the end i've seen lvl 28's come last in the crucible and totally suck in strikes. What matters is still skills and not gear.

So if I go there and people are farming the ONLY HIVE SPAWN ON THE MAP. I'm going to go in for ammo if I need some because I don't give a care for people who farm that location. So if you see me run in there for ammo for my heavy weapons (I use the Thunderlord machine gun). I'm going in not for the loot, but for the ammo so I can finish my bounties and enjoy the beauty of Skywatch, or the beauty it once held.

I HATE. When people go into the cave every 5 min. They unload their auto as fast as they can and have to go for ammo, disrupt every ones play!

First of all, shooting into the cave to farm Engrams is not cheating. People are playing the game based upon the mechanics programmed by Bungie. No one has hacked this part of the game. If Bungie fixes it, so be it. They have to know about it by now. As for those that sit in the cave preventing the spawn because you don't like how others are playing the game, more power to you. Again, Bungie programmed the game a certain way, and if you feel its your job to be the spawn police then please sit for hours in the cave and not play the game. If you are shooting into the cave and someone decides to stop the spawn, go to orbit and come back. You'll have to cash in the Engrams at some point anyway. Just don't get upset with anyone that is legitimately playing the game and messes up the spawn (i.e. Patrol Missions, one of which requires a scan of the area in the ship to the left). Also, rather than get upset at someone who isn't located at the precise spot you wish for them to be standing, send that person a message so they understand why. Personally, I like this spot because the public event in the area starts right on cue. I'll pop off a few rounds into the cave waiting for the event. If anything, I will be able to get materials from the low level items that drop.

2 RepliesIt is funny to see everyone on earth in this spot...one more thing to add would be to help with the public events...don't know if anybody knows but you also get engrams doing these as well...quit being dicks when a public event happens and nobody moves or helps out unless they get attacked

Edited by eeTee33: 9/19/2014 2:14:59 PMat the end of the game everybody is farming, its the nature of this kind of games. i agree this is one of the easiest spawn points, but there are more, some for engrams some for glimmers. they could set a respawn to 1 minute think people wil get bored then waiting that long. a minute is long doing nothing but waiting.

I go in for ammo because i frequently disconnect from the world from bungie errors. I'd rather not risk losing the engrams that sit there.

9 Replies3 is wrong. There's only so many things that can show up at once. Picking up ammo lightens the strain on the system.

1 ReplyI tuned up for a Treasure Cave a day or so ago and some people were there decided I wasn't welcome. I had them taking turns to bazzoka me, melee me, run in front of me etc. It was all rather pathetic to be honest. Eventually they got bored and went to orbit and left me there on my own.

Totally agree. I have had a few people grief me by going in to the cave and standing there because they thought more than two people being there was going to take away from their drops.

How about this, don't play the -blam!-en game for christ sakes !! It's not hard to prevent dislikes if you really wanna change stuff in the games become a game developer !! .. I haven't heard any post about how people are enjoying the game all I here is rants about destiny this destiny that ,nerf this or its too hard .. Am I the only one here who has no issue about the game or at least having fun ?

4 RepliesHigh monsters drop crap, the pvp gifting is crap. I mean hell I see people with a K.D of 00.2 and still getting legendary shit as I am going 1.40 or even 2.38 like really? Let the guys farm the spots they want. If they wish to sit their for hours and hope to get lucky (I know I would but don't got the patience) then let them. Why does everyone have to be a dick and besides not only are you wasting there time your wasting yours too and someone is bound to out wait your ass anyways so why be a dick or attempt to be one?
