My brother has still not made it past character creation between #centipede and #grape. He goes to Finlandia University. How do we get the update information to the Network Administrator?

So you bought a nice router and that fixed your problem? You didn't have to get your own internet connection bypassing the college's BS? A router allowed you to fix this issue?

Huh... Seems likely that you could accomplish a work-around by changing your router's configuration, unless it was actually broken. Maybe it just had a stricter default configuration in terms of blocked ports?

The university has to have a firewall that blocks p2p ports to prevent torrenting. So when destiny tries to connect to p2p ports to shirk having to pay for servers, its microsoft and activations way of manipulating its customers into hosting the game for them. So, you get booted or can't login to destiny at all because the firewall thinks you're trying to do copyright infringement. The only fix is the college upgrading its equipment, not likely to happen. I have had a lot less issues though, so some patch has fixed some of this, but the game is still awfully buggy when it comes to getting booted. They're like a bad drug dealer, they will sell you a bag of weed for us to smoke it with them and they will charge you $5 per rolling paper. And you have the option to pay them to smoke all your weed for you.

Guy before me was talking about replacing a personal router with another, more expensive router. I was just assuming the 2 routers had different default port-forwarding options. University networking is a separate issue. I'm not disagreeing with you on any of that bit.

Nothing of any of this interaction was anyone's fault specially no fault of yours, I very clearly stated why things were the way they are and made my frustrations with those things very clear. I actually perceive trolling to be a direct cause of people going postal or becoming serial killers. I study psychology and sociology, all the pain and irritation the trolls cause is a serious problem.

Rather I attempted to clarify that I thought we were discussing orthogonal things.
