Blindly praising the game is not helpful either. There are wonderful things about the game and it can be recommended on several levels but two critical things are unacceptable at release: - Story so flavorless and utterly forgettable that Bungie should apologize - Complete lack of innovation, tools and support for grouping, matchmaking and communicating while raising artificial barriers to content based on NOT being on a friends list with no support to being able to make friends. These tools also include a complete lack of a map planet side, use of consumables via D pad, for example. Furthermore connectivity and disconnect problems continue to rage for many people post launch. Our thanks was buying the product and playing the game. But not to provide them with feedback is not being a good customer. Good consumers try to get what they paid for and hold companies accountable. Bad consumers just gloss over things and say "its okay, I think you must have tried your best... too bad I didn't get what I thought I was buying but its okay." So while there are rude people and rude posts, under that anger and visceral tone there are legitimate complaints and issues.

  • You are 100% correct. People seem to be thinking that if you criticize the game, you absolutely hate it.

  • I bought destiny without playing the beta, without watching the trailers. Without building up hype in my head. And I believe I much much more than a paid for. Yes destiny has some flaws. What -blam!-ing game doesn't have flaws. I love destiny, I understand that some people don't and that's okay, people can have different opinions. OP wasn't blindly praising the game and glossing over the problems. He was praising bungie and thanking them for all their hard work. Because there is a lot of negativity surrounding destiny right now and it should be known to bungie that there are many people out there that love there game with a passion!

  • Well praising them for doing business the right way for a few things and implying that there is nothing wrong with the game and that people just need to be grateful for the game and not be critical is pretty much blind praise and urging others to just "suck it up."

  • I completely agree with you. The post is not about blind praise or blind hate. The point was to say thank you for what they did deliver and not focus and a few frustrations. It has been 9 days since launch. What online only game have you played that launched with perfection? This game will need tweaks for a long time. It is about giving constructive criticism on how to improve it, not reacting like they have ruined our lives over a video game. They do need feedback on story, bugs, connection. I just think we need to start doing so without so much anger and hate. Real people work for these companies and are proud of what they do. No product will ever make everyone happy, but do we need to verbally assault them for it?

  • Your post is quite literally blind praising.

  • Nothing about your post is constructive you stupid spineless drone. You do nothing but say "thank you" to a corporation to whom you gave money, all while Bungie willingly lied about a lot of aspects of the core game. I don't give a -blam!- that it will expend through DLCs and the such. 60+ $ is more than enough already for a video game, there is no justification to pay more than that afterwards. They should support the customers not -blam!- them in the ass by asking them to pay for the content they should've deserved in the original package that they already paid for. This forum is ran by stupid kids like you that willignore any kind of negative feedback towards the game. I remember being like this when I was younger, then I grew up and realized that being a corporate slave like you is disgusting.

  • Only guy with common sense in this thread, Destiny is fun but it lacks so much and Bungie deceived everyone. God those -blam!-ing mindless drones that will asslick any big corporation for free are the worse -blam!-ing cancer you'll find on earth OP, Bungie doesn't give a -blam!- about you, and you sucking their dong that hard won't change a thing, you stupid -blam!-ing apologist.

  • Agreed. But seriously, the amount of some zealots and haters are outstanding. Both unconstructive, and both lack finesse in discussion.

  • The angst in some posts is absolutely reprehensible, but, unfortunately, not uncommon nor outstandingly bad here. I have seen far worse and far better. The complaints here are about average. The problem is that no one is managing the community boards and responding from Bungie. At launch I get it - network issues and all hands get it right... but at this point there should be SOME interaction with the consumer base. To date there is none and that just exacerbates the whole situation.
