Post Your Connection Issues/fixes Here - Home Networks

I have seen many of these threads, but it seems that most of the posts are just people ranting and complaining. I will say that I am quite guilty of that as well, and my patience is growing thin, but I think we should try to provide Bungie with more specific information so they can get our issues fixed as soon as possible. Please post your specific issues in here, and try to keep it short-ish, to the point, and present it in a professional manner so they don't have to comb through garbage to find what they could possibly need. I'll start by saying: I'm on the Xbox 360. I am on my home network. I get mostly just BEE and CENTIPEDE after entering any game zone. I can sit in orbit and stare at my ship for hours, but even entering a mission, strike, crucible match, or the tower nets me a BEE error within 2-10 minutes. I'VE HAD THESE ISSUES SINCE DAY 1. I've tried all the workarounds mentioned on this site (NAT Type, opening ports, QoS, disabling flood protection, DMZ server, static IP for router and console, hard resetting everything multiple times, deleting system cache, deleting and reinstalling the game, using a VPN, going wireless and wired, and multiple combinations of all of these) Any help/reply would be appreciated. We must keep hammering them until we are heard. We are not a tiny portion of the community.

  • I'm experiencing disconnects too. Primarily during side missions. I'm hard wired with XBox One to an Asus RT-N66U Dark Night router that has never had a problem with other games. After getting disconnected I can still use other high bandwidth applications like YouTube.

  • Based on Bungie's response, looks like they're sticking with the it's not us it's you response. That's rather disappointing. I feel like we're in high school and they're breaking up with us.

    • Nice but a shame for Bungie Users must begin to solve her problems self. I can not understand why all other games run well but i should modificate the network configuration only for this game and this fully undocumentated no Source/Target IP and corresponding Port definition the minimal thing for a clean firewall roule. A link to a generic NAT Solution but no info what really is needed?? Turn off all NAT features or allow portmapping for any IP to your GameConsole LOL Bungie this really can not be or i hope your Servers are not configured this way. After 2 Weeks of known Network Problems with the Game i can not find any Netowrk documentation usable for home use or simple routers (NAT) or for any firewall apliance. I really ask me how this Game has pass a BETA Test. Give us the money and be quiet is the way it looks like! As a minimum a clear Network configuration documentation is a must have, for my 120bucks for a Guardian Edition i only got a stupid start screen an the OYSTER Error playing the game forget it.

    • Keep getting Fly and Bee error codes constantly. Impossible to play the game. I've been playing problem free since launch, only had this problem the last few days. What i find disturbing is they had a 500 million dollar budget, but no support in site. Just mentors on the forums who don't work for the company. I think thats great, but does nothing to fix the problem. I have tested my Xbox One connection many of times and everything is perfect, other games work fine ect. This is absolutely on Bungies end. Its laughable to say its not. I really hope they get this sorted asap. As a paying customer i expect a lot more than whats been given. A support email address where you can make inquiries and track tickets ect and a toll free number is much needed. Something along those lines. There is zero support for this game.

          • For me. Destiny is taking forever to load. I've been on the loading screen for hours and still don't get through the loading screen.

            • Platform: PS4 Network gear: FritzBox 7390 Network conf: PS4 exposed by router, ISP firewall off WAN: Fibre, 100 Mbps down, 40Mbps up LAN: Gig Ethernet I'm getting intermittent disconnections, a variety of wildlife, mostly when flying to the Tower. It all started after the update for me, and while I'm no stranger to this stuff, I'm out of ideas other than "wait and see".

            • i have played normally today than of a sudden i couldn't not even log on any character...guess the server issue is a bit better now...hope they solve all the problems with time...this game is really really good.

              • BUNGIE, we are tired of your excuses. You invested 500+ million dollars into a game we invested because we believed in your service to the customer and delivering a great game... Why can't we play? Where's your customer service? This issue is on your end. You got your money and way more back, please use it to fix your game and allow the thousands of us who can't play, finally able to enjoy your game. Just don't sweep this issue under the rug, because you will piss off the wrong people and you will lose it all :(

                • For some reason my disconnects keep happening near the end of strikes. We will be fighting the end boss and I'll disconnect. It's really infuriating. I'm on the Xbox 360 On WiFi with nothing else on the network with open NAT I have done all the networking stuff Bungie has suggested and the last time I got kicked out I checked my speed test right after and it was 23 mbps

                • I've also had these same problems since day 1. Majority are BEE and CENTIPEDE. I am playing from a home network running 30 meg internet on a wired router. At first I just laughed at all the complaints because I knew the game was new and would have issues for a few days. But now it has been well over a week and I just got kicked twice from crucible matches within 2 minutes of game play for CENTIPEDE. I realize when they are doing work to the system we should expect problems, but I'm not seeing that they are now. I have intentionally not played in a few days and when I get back on to find these issues persist, it is very disappointing. The game is a lot of fun, but these problems seem to be incredibly persistent.

                • I have NAT open on my Xbox, port forwarding, enabled the Xbox One IP address to the DNS so it's completely open and free. No firewall. And getting kicked often also. I'm glad it isn't my connection and just their server. But even though I have all the above. When i load up the game it still says strict NAT on the orbit page... :/

                • When I put destiny in for the first time it showed the loading icon in the bottom right corner, but after a while it froze, then a Minuit or two later a regular xbox 360 error message popped up that said" Problem reading game content. Please close and restart destiny to Try agin" I listened and tried agin, but the same thing keeps happening! I've tried switching out games, unpluging all of my accessories(kenect, a flash drive, ect.), and my hard drive works fine. I don't know what else to do. could someone please help!

                • I can't play co-op with anyone. I've uninstalled my game, shut of my wireless, plugged in directly to my modem and still I get error codes or kicked off Live completely., What a disappointment.

                • I share everybody's frustration with this, I can't play any crucible or strike without getting disconnected or completely booted all the way back out to sign in. in fact it's been so bad that since the last update they released I've actually been disconnected probably 4 out of 5 crucible matches and about 3 out of 5 strikes. so that's a bad day, on a good day it's about 2 out of 5 for both of those. I have nothing wrong with my internet service provider, modem, or router. Destiny's the only game that has this issue and its been progressively worse since the update that was supposedly to have fixed this problem. And not to mention Bungie AND Activision have zero support for this game whatsoever, no phone lines, no real Twitter support either. All they have is this community forum which and I quote from Bungie "visit our help forum full of COMMUNITY mentors who can help you" now let me ask you this Bungie, how are these community mentors supposed to help if they themselves are experiencing the exact same issues?

But better than nothing I guess. In short. Xbox 360 Home Network Tried all Methods you offer to Troubleshoot in #marrionberry Still Happens on Wired connection as well btw... I'v had this Issue since the beta (marrionberry) i have posted here back then as well link : http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/66833572/0/0/1 So as some one here already stated, We had those Errors back in beta (that is the purpose of the beta isn't it ? ;) (looks like some one didn't finish hes Homework / "Network" ;) Big F if i was to Grade it... ;) Bungie its time to step up and ACKNOWLEDGE That this is a problem with your Servers Not our connection/hardware or anything else you might come up with ! (didn't see here on the forums no one complaining about and error called "Chooks" ;) So to conclude Bungie ITS YOU ITS NOT US ! We cant #Helpyoutohelpus , Its a one sided Problem on your side ! (Ahhhm Servers/Net-code , W/E it is its Yours to FIX) So its time to announce on the Main/home Page of your site An Acknowledgment. (See How Rockstar Handled her self With the lunch of GTA V Online.) what are you doing to fix it ? and regular updates with progress ! We your loyal fans and customers are eager for Information any thing official from you will go a long way IMHO just my 2 Cents ;)

                    • Honestly if someone from bungie could just come in here and tell us they're working on fixing this shit I think it would go a long way instead of sending someone to say "it not our fault, call your isp' . They're acting so oblivious to the fact that this is a freakin huge issue and its hindering the experience for tons of people. As far as I know bungie isn't trying to fix this and is simply putting the responsibility on us as consumers. Everyone in this forum and many other forums have seemingly gone through troubleshooting with all bungie's "solutions" and none of them worked. The majority of people have also contacted there isp's and microsoft or sony and been told that everything is fine on there end. You can type in "centipede" or "bee" errors in google and be greeted by a plethora of articles and forums regarding the unresolved issues, so at least let the consumer know that problem will be looked after and so we stop wasting hours of our time trying to troubleshoot this. My mom is a network administrator and attempted to attack this issue with hours of her own time to no avail, all of our connection speeds and equipment are certainly above average. Everyone just wants to play the damn game, or else we wouldnt give a shit.
