Post Your Connection Issues/fixes Here - Home Networks

I have seen many of these threads, but it seems that most of the posts are just people ranting and complaining. I will say that I am quite guilty of that as well, and my patience is growing thin, but I think we should try to provide Bungie with more specific information so they can get our issues fixed as soon as possible. Please post your specific issues in here, and try to keep it short-ish, to the point, and present it in a professional manner so they don't have to comb through garbage to find what they could possibly need. I'll start by saying: I'm on the Xbox 360. I am on my home network. I get mostly just BEE and CENTIPEDE after entering any game zone. I can sit in orbit and stare at my ship for hours, but even entering a mission, strike, crucible match, or the tower nets me a BEE error within 2-10 minutes. I'VE HAD THESE ISSUES SINCE DAY 1. I've tried all the workarounds mentioned on this site (NAT Type, opening ports, QoS, disabling flood protection, DMZ server, static IP for router and console, hard resetting everything multiple times, deleting system cache, deleting and reinstalling the game, using a VPN, going wireless and wired, and multiple combinations of all of these) Any help/reply would be appreciated. We must keep hammering them until we are heard. We are not a tiny portion of the community.

  • I can't even download the update, I was really lookin forward to the iron banner, now I can't even play the regular game :/. I have no idea how to fix this, it might be my ps3 or the game or my connection ( which I highly doubt) idk, but if anyone knows anything about this I'd be awfully grateful if you could shed some light on this, thank you fellow guardians

  • Since the day after launch I have been experiencing the 'canary' error and have tried everything to fix it and nothing has worked. I basically get disconnected every 5-10 minutes once logged in. If anyone has any suggestions or fixes then please hit me up. I'm playing on an Xbox One and have a Virgin Media Super Hub 2.

  • im having connection issues since 25/9. I thought that today's (7/10) fix was able to fix the problem...... no.... im still having CATERPILLAR error every 2-5 minutes of gameplay Bungie, i ve had enough of your crap game... please fix that problem... until 25/9 i was playing without a problem, after your fix i ve been unable to play... so its not a problem of mine connection, of mine isp, or something else.... its a problem fo your servers Gamertag: andrea-costa-87 Console: PS4

  • Yup same here. I'm getting bee quite a lot, to the point where my patience is wearing thin. It seems that the disconnection rate went up since the last patch. Before I was still getting disconnected but not do often...

  • My issues are now resolved...my router settings were perfect BUT my ISP were giving me a dynamic IP service not a static ...pain and a home to say the least but there you go.

  • After the update yesterday the connections issues are even worse. Yes I've done all the things prescribed by xbox and Bungie and IT STILL DOESN"T WORK! I've got a 100mb fibre connection and I never have problems with other games/streaming/downloading yet Destiny keeps kicking me and the problem is not at my end. FIX IT BUNGIE!

    • I'm have same issues and did as u did nothing has worked and I to hope to play the game without worrying if all the work and time I spent in the game was for nothing.

      Xbox wont even let me download the new update. :( and no one on their website will help me, so here I'm here now... I doubt its possible, but i have a flash drive and if i can get the data on that, I should be able to update Destiny. Apologies if this is the wrong thread to post this in but I've been trying to solve this problem for almost 2 days now...

    • How I solved my centipede and bee/fly/lion disconnects I had been getting the above 4 errors every 10 minutes since late last week. I was unable to do any strikes or PVP it sucked, i was 1 strange coin away from buying the damn SUROS! I tried resetting all of my equipment (console, router and modem) port forwarding, I tried DMZing I even bypassed my router completely and plugged my PS4 into my cable modem. Finally last night (after the 9/30 stability server side patch) I called my ISP (Time Warner in Rochester NY) and explained that I was having connectivity issues due to data loss. The service rep found ~%4 packet loss between him and my modem. We tried switching Ethernet cords (ps4 directly connected to the modem) and the data loss stayed constant. He scheduled a time for a tech to come look at the cable hookup in my basement. Then the magic happened. I told him I am going to try plugging my router back in. He said he will remotely restart my cable modem. BOOM no more packet loss and no more disconnects. TL;DR after 5 days of constant centipede and bee/fly/lion disconnects the problem was solved by having my ISPs techsupport remotely restart my cable modem.

      • i have a 360 and hard copy and my game wont load past 63% in game content on the download. have done all rests and called xbox they have no idea why it wont work. i have no issues at all with other games. as soon as i put destinay in my xbox it seizes up.. have had this game for 5 days now without being able to so much as downlod or even have a chance at gameplay. im sick of this stuff and have been beyond pateint with this game. I need this issue fixed asap or consider bad reviews to keep coming. All i really want is to play Destiny dammit.

      • Psn: IronMazo Ps3 Hello constantly when im triying to play i get lion/bee/fly errors for almost an hour then centipede/catle when trying to login and also 1 called goathog or something like that. When things get ugly (cant even login) i do a cold reboot of my network and console sometimes work sometimes dont. I didnt have any issues in the beta thats why i thrust my conection and im enjoying every piece of destiny but it gets really anoying please fix it and thanks.

      • I'm still experiencing the 'canary' error code daily. I have tried port forwarding, switching from 5 ghz to 2 ghz, moving my router closer, moving phones and other devices away from my router to minimise interference and nothing seems to help. I seem to be able to connect later on at night fine but as soon as I try to connect in the day I'm playing in 5 minute sessions with frequent disconnects. Please help Bungie

          I get vulture, Caterpillar, centipede, and sometimes Marion berry. Although it is weird because other devices work on my Internet just fine. So there is no way that it is my Internet. Xbox one:Samuraislash600.

        • Ok does anyone else know why this happens? I'll be playing destiny for about 10 minutes and ill enter a new area and ill get any of these four messages: "Disconnected from Xbox Live, Your connection has issues", "Your fire team has returned to orbit", "Can't connect to destiny servers at the time", and "oat connection to partner services." After these messages i can get back on for another ten minutes just fine and it happens again. I can switch over to another game like Black Ops 2 and have perfect connection but then i go back to destiny and *boom* connection errors. Some people say it is because of my NAT type, but I'm not sure how to fix that. Any answers to my problem?

            Have the same issues man, I keep getting spammed with the error codes of bee and rarely lion mainly in the crucible and raids. However it its spreading to strikes and I fear PVE... FIX THIS BUNGIE!!! [9/30] Our server-side configuration changes have shown a dramatic reduction in BEE/FLY/LION errors. Error reporting data shows a drop of 53% since our last update on the 25th. We are still exploring other methods of reducing the frequency of these errors. I am still getting them as usual bungie, sorry but I am not lucky

          • Playing on Xbox 360. My ISP is Pavlov media in an apartment complex near Texas A&M. Open NAT and direct wired connection to my router. Ports are forwarded per Bungie's and Xbox's demands (seemed to alleviate my issues ONLY after a day or two). Time of day doesn't seem to impact my likelihood of getting errors. Patrol seems to be the safest mode to play atm as strikes did not work for me until about 4 days ago. Crucible is 50/50 Playing Solo definitely improves my odds of not getting disconnected but it still happens. I have gotten Hawk, Bee and Anteater ONCE while Baboon and Centipede are my most common errors (about 50 times now combined) although today after 6 PM CST I have gotten the Elk error six times while playing public events Got Destiny 8 days after it came out (9/17) Played for two days with some errors (mostly centipede) Spent the weekend at a friend's house who has Verizon FIOS and no errors (Sweet Jesus I miss Verizon) Queens Wrath update hit and I was bombarded with CENTIPEDE and BABOON errors The last 4 days have been BETTER though with the occasional disconnect due to centipede

          • I have the same problem since the new updates , every time i join the world in a strike or normaly the system kicks me out with bee or centipede error im tired of this only wanna play my game but it doesnt work please help bungie...

          • up untill now its been ok exsecpt the odd server problem, how ever today i have found out i have been smashing pvp for 2 weeks and not leveled up because some reason im capped WTF. Im stuck at 1735 need 2000 to level up. Please sort this out and if i dont get somthing for all my time wasted, i will want a refund

          • I can't even get past the loading screen without being kicked out since Saturday. I logged on once before the "centipede" error code came up, and I lost all my progress for that day (Saturday). Lost all of my exotic weapons and hear I acquired as well. Please just give us an update cause this is quite frustrating. Whether or not you guys are doing everything in your power, you're not communicating with us. Gt- Chizz on you Xbox one

          • I get many different disconnect codes. Mostly baboon. Have followed all steps provided. Opened my ports, my nat is set to open, my download speed is 17mb per sec, and I drop no packets. No reason why I should be having these issues. It's is so frustrating, I need a fix now or a refund bungie.
