Post Your Connection Issues/fixes Here - Home Networks

I have seen many of these threads, but it seems that most of the posts are just people ranting and complaining. I will say that I am quite guilty of that as well, and my patience is growing thin, but I think we should try to provide Bungie with more specific information so they can get our issues fixed as soon as possible. Please post your specific issues in here, and try to keep it short-ish, to the point, and present it in a professional manner so they don't have to comb through garbage to find what they could possibly need. I'll start by saying: I'm on the Xbox 360. I am on my home network. I get mostly just BEE and CENTIPEDE after entering any game zone. I can sit in orbit and stare at my ship for hours, but even entering a mission, strike, crucible match, or the tower nets me a BEE error within 2-10 minutes. I'VE HAD THESE ISSUES SINCE DAY 1. I've tried all the workarounds mentioned on this site (NAT Type, opening ports, QoS, disabling flood protection, DMZ server, static IP for router and console, hard resetting everything multiple times, deleting system cache, deleting and reinstalling the game, using a VPN, going wireless and wired, and multiple combinations of all of these) Any help/reply would be appreciated. We must keep hammering them until we are heard. We are not a tiny portion of the community.

  • Recently trouble shooted my home network...I'm hardwired through a new net gear r7000, anyway I noticed I had high packet loss thanks to the Xbox one networking tools so I bypassed my router and plugged my Xbox directly into my cable modem and my packet loss dropped down to 0-1% and I never got disconnects or "contacting destiny server" so obviously something is wrong with my router, does anyone know any networking fixes for packet loss occurring at the router because net gear customer support doesn't know a thing obviously...

    • Looks like it may be xbox live if you're on a XB1: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status MS is probably getting slammed, as AW and MCC pretty much came out on top of each other.

    • Xbox 360 ISP: comcast I had *constant* caterpillar, hawk and occasional Lionfish errors for WEEKS. I found a Comcast store right down the road and swapped out my Technicolor 8305c modem for an "Arris" (which the person behind the desk said was worse than the Technicolor). Took it home, hooked it up, quick call to comcast to initialize the modem and Boom! Faster load times, no lag, no KTO. No stupid animals. It's bliss. Try it.

    • Ran into BEE while playing "The Warmind" on Earth after entering a cave in the Mothyards. Then I reloaded and went into the same cave and was booted again, this time FLY. Reloaded the mission abs was booted further in the story by code EEL. Just now while playing "The Last Array" I was booted while obtaining the dead ghosts, and was promoted with FLY again. I did just download the newest update for PlayStation, perhaps it is contributing to the problem? I run into boots every so often just like anybody else, but never 4 in half an hour.

    • From September 10 through September 28 I played without problems. It was a little errors, but they were rare and not significant. So, my network is fine. And now, since September 28, i can't connect due permanent CATTLE error on first log in, before character select screen. In other words, i can't connect to the game. Please help me with this trouble, guys. My gamertag: Durny_Sabaka, console: PS3. UPD1 -portforwarding - done -DNS - done -DMZ - done -reinstall Destiny - done -call to provider - done -reset PS3 - done -unplug all cabels - done -firewall off - done Well, the problem is NOT SOLVED!

        • Agreed, nonstop hawk & caterpillar despite setting up static IP & port forwarding. No problems with other games. I'm not going to give up on Destiny, just going to give them a few months to figure out their issues before playing again. This is sooooo frustrating.

          • Well as fare as error codes go BEE, AND FLY IS NOT BUNGIES PROBLEM it means that your internet signal is low and can't have a continues connection with Bungies server. You should contact your internet provider to see if they can boost your signal and try to get COAXIAL CABLE F-TERMINATORS. What it this does is puts a cap on any open cable in the house where you can connect a cable line to a MOTUME OR A CALBE BOX TO. By doing that your signal will increases. If you have good signal it should be 50 or less anything above that is bad internet signal. Hope this helps you. My ERROR CODE ARE CANARY, HAWK, ANTEATER, WEASEL, VALTURE, ORBIT, AND BASS EVERY TIME I'M IN A STRIKE MISSION I GET KICK OUT DO TO THESE ERROR CODE AND I CAN'T EVEN START THE MISSION BECAUSE OF IT. SHEERS AND LETS SEE HOW BUNGIE FIX THESE PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEY SUCK. SENCERLY DOCTORD333

          • J-Sovereign PS4. I don't care what the critics are saying about the game, but I'm going to quit trying to play if I can never get on when I want to because of random error codes I can't do anything about.

          • Zebra.... Had soloed phogoth to 10% for my bounties. Far as I'm concerned bungie owes me walking tall and the bigger they are completion.. I'll forgive the 45 minutes I wasted. But damn don't screw me out a my twin bounty completions. My times up for the day pretty much so don't have time to finish them today... Least gimme my 200 rep and 10k xp your servers cost me. First time I've been screwed on bounties from the errors so I over looked them until now. Games that waste ppls' time again and again with no info on a definate day or time it will be resolved regardless of how much they like them usually loose that customer. And yes all my connections are perfect. Blizzard games working fine. Mk8 on wiiu working perfectly. And them aren't even using my Ethernet cord.

          • I have been having the same problem since Thursday and i am on a PS4. I've be getting BEE and FLY. I have gone step by step on what to do and it is fine when test connection ( connection download speed at 25.6 Mbps and connection upload speed at 2.5 Mbps). Then when i start playing it drops to download speed 15.3 Mbps and upload speed 456.7 Kbps. I am LAN connected and have this problem even went wifi and still the same problem.

          • XB1 user here: I get a lot of errors mainly, Zebra, centipede, bee. All my ports are open, NAT type is open, my internet is great, and i still get errors

            Currently experiencing bee, hare and fly errors... Edit: quail, hyena, lion now added to mix. This is not a wireless connection, and the PS4 is set to DMZ. This only started happening frequently 2 days ago, and I have no issues with any other services.

              Gametag, suckerpunch509 Xbox1 Error code mongoose Haven't been able to find any info on this error code. Cant get into crucible cant see other players unless on their fire team. I am hard wired to router, have open nat, and have port forwarded. Any help is appreciated. I still think this is a great game despite issues.

              • I however have been getting the error code BEAGLE. It's been telling me to turn uninstall my game and reinstall, iv done that about 10 times and nothing changed one bit...

                • Dear Bungie, NTS Internet users are now approaching one week of not being able to access Destiny due to the Cattle error on the sign in screen. Could you please provide some feedback as to where you and NTS are in the process of solving this issue? Most, if not all, of the people affected by this bug are beyond the point of frustration with this situation. I believe the ultimate fix to this problem resides in your hands at this point. If that is not the case, I apologize. Every aspect of my internet service works fine except for Destiny. That includes other online games. I know you deal with many, many problems each day, but I implore you to take some time and resolve this issue. It would seem to me that errors like this would take priority over whether or not somebody can see their ship, or similar cosmetic bugs like this. At least those people are in the game playing. Those of us with the Cattle error cannot even access the game to play! Please make this issue a TOP priority if it is not already. I have no way of knowing if it is being worked on due to the lack of information you are providing. Your attention to this important function will be much appreciated!

                  • I can't even download the update, I was really lookin forward to the iron banner, now I can't even play the regular game :/. I have no idea how to fix this, it might be my ps3 or the game or my connection ( which I highly doubt) idk, but if anyone knows anything about this I'd be awfully grateful if you could shed some light on this, thank you fellow guardians
