This not only would make the Titan ridiculously op because he's then basically unkillable and can at the same time kill anything that comes his way with no option but for his prey to try and run away and hide for half a minute, but this also makes his entire team invincible as well.... Literally nothing would be able to stop this....

So wait...even though almost every other subclass has a super that makes you have varying degrees of unkillability...and at the same time kill things easily..having a defender Titan do the same would be bad? Don't forget the Titan shield also has 2 huge handicaps of "not moving" and "being easily destroyed"

Edited by ImpatientGamer0: 9/18/2014 2:37:30 AMHunter does not get to become unkillable for either of his supers. And titan doesn't only effect him it's for his whole team! So yes it would be very unfair. Also your whole team gets buffs for being in the shield also.
-
Far from unfair. It's not like your hunter killing everything in sight. Its very very balanced. Its a team support.
-
The titan in the bubble shield is not invincible. The hunter bladedancing gets increased health/armor/whatever. Pretending like other supers don't also buff the defenses of other subclasses a large amount is just silly. The whole team gets it? Nove blast it and kill the shield and most people inside of it...or just..move. Since it is the only completely stationary super. A super that does not kill and can not move should have more benefits then "making you harder to kill, but you aren't killing anyone else either unless they are stupid and run inside it".

Edited by ImpatientGamer0: 9/18/2014 3:03:48 AMAlso this would upset the balance of p.v.e. Where people would just have a lot of players using Titan and able to stand still while killing bosses hitting there critical spots and just constantly using bubble shield, for instance the raid where there could be 6 titans, I doubt they would ever all be out of shield if they took turns( generates 2 orbs of light so they would get 10 orbs of light before it was there turn to use there shield)
-
For instance I just beat the daily challenge on lvl. 24 it took a little time to kill the giant at the end because I had to dodge. But if I could stand still my machine gun would kill him before Ever running out of ammo

It is impenetrable meaning that there is literally no way to fire back or retaliate against (before destroying it). Also other supers get shield which the bubble shield also can give to your team as well. Jus think about this for a secound. Does having a 3v3 where you are playing against 3 titans all using this bubble shield taking turns using it so there is very little time when they need it and don't have it and every time you engage them they put up a stupid bubble of death and all gained extra shields (like other supers give) and you couldnt shoot back because the bubble. There would be no way to stop this. Other then maybe a invisible blade dancer, but then again the extra shield buff would make it take a couple hits to get a kill, or using a nova bomb on it which they would def see coming and either move or kill you before it goes off. So the only way to stop it is a lucky kill using your super or running away until it goes away
-
Guess what, the Titan that is inside it is not killing you either. He is probably bored waiting on your super to destroy it. If the Titan is using the "shield buff", then the Titan is not using the "takes signifacantly less damage while inside the shield" option. People complain about a bladedancer, and bladedancers respond " run away, or get really lucky with a few point blank shotgun hits before you get insta-killed...or use your super". But it is now wrong for me to say the same exact thing. I would fully expect any pvp team, that is constantly chaining their supers, and having their team pick up every orb, to dominate a pvp match...regardless of subclass.
-
The Titan gets the same degree of "unkillability" also. When using that shield Titans with the Blessing of Light get the same shield that the other classes get. Plus that bubble shield is just too good in control when capping or defending points.
-
Other classes which get a shield or whatnot with their supers also get abilities to give them a huge offensive advantage. The defender titan does not. It is only a defensive advantage if the people you are against do not have their supers available to destroy the shield.
-
Yeah but you can buff your entire team when any number of the modifiers that the Titan has for the shield while most of the other classes only help themselves. Its an amazing team class and I play as Warlock and am certain the Voidwalker class gets no shield buff, the Sunsinger does but then he sucks offensively.

It would be great for pve which I mostly play
