Ohhhh Ok I just spent $125 for the first chapter of a story. Makes perfect sense now. Thank you so much for explaining it to me. I was so wrong to think that there was no story.

  • That is not the point - at least for me. I wouldn't care if the story was only 30 minutes to use the TV analogy if it was TOLD WELL. But it was NOT TOLD WELL. Great ideas, so glad that we got to view a rough draft outline. A lot to recommend this game but story is NOT one of them at this point. Its a mistake to launch without a substantive story. Tell Tale is a master of it telling a complete chunk of story in an installment that makes you want more story. What I am reacting to is that they really didn't tell a story AT ALL in ANY WAY within the game. Unless of course listening to Dinkle Bot spout off something with no context while he hacks ANOTHER terminal is your ideal story telling medium - then its wonderful! The Queen (Queen who?) and The Queen's Brother (nice name...) are the best developed character and the reef the most interesting location but that is really thin. And so later this month they will release the Queen story missions - great! Bad CHOICE. Why not include it at release so that there is more to do with a story arc. Its a decision that really makes no sense especially since Bungie has hyped the hell out of its "epic story". No, not so epic yet in my mind.

  • I agree but they might improve it in the dlc

  • Given what Bungie is capable (although sans their lead writer) of I too have hope that it might improve. If it had a Master Chief level of story telling then this would go from a good game to a must own game.
