Yeah. I like idea of Tower being open chat but definitely not Crucible. I like how Bungie is making this game completely different than other FPS. Awesome game!

Not in Crucible? Are you someone that plays with friends, and is trying to keep it imbalanced so that communicating players can roflstomp everyone else? I agree in terms of people outside of your team, but in-team chat is so essentially that it's basically a given in every other game with group PvP.

It's essential in theory but my limited experience had always been two guys talking about something unrelated to the game the entire time or some dbag listening to music or just yelling at everyone for sucking. It may be a pain but you can add everyone in your team to your strike team in orbit. Sure you can always mute the dbag but everyone else still hears him and sits there quietly because of it. Picking and choosing who you hear may not be what every other game does but that's what Destiny is aiming to do. You have to add people and then you discover they're cool and then you friend them.

How can you get through all 6 players before the game starts? And how can they rejoin in fireteam before the game starts? How is inviting everyone functionally different from starting with talkiness as a default and muting people that annoy you? Besides being super annoying and adding several rounds of loading screens, I mean.

My point was that I don't want to hear all 6 people when I first hop on Crucible. That's how every other game is and that's the reason I've given up trying to play those games. If you don't get on with friends you have to deal with a lot of children and adults who act like children. It's almost like nobody that bought the game had been listening to Bungie over the past year when they tried to explain how this game is different that most FPS. Your focus is make friends, hit raids with your clan.

You're not understanding me. The point is to make friends and build fireteams. Matchmaking is neato but it's not how you should play Destiny. Build a fireteams, guys. Socialize.

besides I don't think Crucible being all types of 3v3 or 6v6 is an accident. They are encouraging us to make friends with each other and put together 3 or 6 man fireteams.
