First things first:
They need to sort out the [b]zoo of errors[/b] for both PvE and PvP.
PvP is the most annoying for me, as all but 2 or 3 games have seen the [b]bee[/b] come along and boot me back to orbit.
That being said, I can't see xplay being introduced as Sony paid Activision a load of dosh to give the illusion that [b]the only place to play [i]Destiny[/i] is on [i]Playstation[/i][/b].
Would I like to see xplay - yes, I think it could be good for [b]all[/b] multiplat games. They could even include a special playlist called "console wars" were each month the total wins/loses for each platform is published on XBL/PSN.

The issues I've seen in Destiny have nothing to do with the actual console... Their networking issues, server issues, and besides that Bungie has specifically said that there is no technical reason for not allowing ps3 and ps4 players to play together.

You've probably seen this before though; perhaps we should just be patient for some sort of update that fixes what's described in the article?

Yeah... You linked to the same interview I did, its been referenced in multiple publications. In the article you just referenced Bungie's reason is because a hypothetical player on a next gen console would have a slight advantage over last gen because when sniping his opponent would appear at a higher resolution and be easier to aim at. This is crazily nit-picky, and besides that it admits that they can allow ps3 players and ps4 players to fight against/with each other.

As to how Bungie is being nit-picky about not allowing it, I can agree...but as someone who plays the 360 version, and has played the xbox one beta, I can say that there is in fact a large difference in graphics; the lighting, how things "pop out" at a distance, the color...there are a lot of differences, and it can be seen in those side by side comparisons. Not only that, but I'm more than sure that it was safer to isolate the online play to one console, as any group(s) who come up with that issue again and again, complaining/thinking subconsciously about how the opponent has an advantage, would be troublesome for them. It may actually be a pretty good compromise when considering the position of the majority of players. Perhaps if there were an option where you can choose to have a mixed online experience (ex. on and off), I'd be down for it. But I don't see it as ideal to hardwire it within the game as it's released when you think of how Bungie adheres to the general community.

I think you need to read the poll more carefully. This isn't cross network play, its cross gen (as in ps3 players and ps4 players playing together, and same thing for people on Xbox live)
