Look I don't have the time to go over the whole plot ATM but I had no troubles understanding anything with some minor inference in some cases. I had no problems understanding the story with some minor inference in some cases, my issue with the story was mainly in the way it was told and how little of it there was, the actual background lore and story premise were good... and then the actual story came along and ruined it.

Edited by OJ191: 9/16/2014 8:47:17 AMActually if I was to go over the whole story mode it would be AT LEAST several paragraphs, it's not THAT short that I could explain it in two sentences. If you want me to summarise it -traveller creates golden age -darkness ruins golden age -guardians explore to find out what's going on outside the city -discover several major threats which they take out -discover an extinction level event threat (lesser than the darkness initial arrival but it doesn't have to be to take out the last city as opposed to the whole solar system) to the city, the black garden, and take it out. that is the primary story because they don't actually progress story or lore much at all it's just find threat, kill threat, and some background lore which is mostly locked away in grimoire cards. The bit about rasputin was pretty obvious he was supposed to be an AI designed to defend earth, what from we don't know as it would appear the warminds were in place before humanity even knew about the darkness. Maybe the military higher ups did know the darkness was coming and kept it secret to avoid a panic? If you have anything else from the story you would like me to explain that you did not understand, feel free to ask.

Unlike words spoken after a stroke, to use your ex. But, it doesn't provide enough context. "It's Rasputin the last Warmind. He defended Earth from the Darkness before the Collapse" Clearly its about a specific individual. Likely a deemed hero, because of his/her/its deeds. I can gather that from what little is said. So it is coherent. Jumble the words up in that quote, then it will be incoherent.

Edited by OJ191: 9/16/2014 2:53:35 PMto be fair we were talking about story and the grimoire is lore not story The lore of destiny is great (but make the grimoire accessible ingame please, not everyone has mobile internet devices and using the net on PSN is crap) but the story they made with it is... poor... Heck even the story mode premise was decent, they just didn't elaborate or differentiate enough, and the writing itself was pretty crap. Single best quote was "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain" and they immediately ruined it by having her talk for 5 minutes.
