I think that none of the actual groups in the game are evil, later down the road we will find out the traveler is the problem! How much you want to bet the traveler goes from solar system to solar system, makes a race depend on it, then leaves, right now the humans think they are protecting it while the cabal vex and others are trying to "save it" themselves, now I haven't beaten the main story yet but when I saw that the ghost was afraid of the awoken I had a feeling it was because they know what the traveler really is

Save it from what, the Darkness? Aren't they working with the Darkness? And they can't try and save it from humanity. Besides, how long have the wars been on going? It seems to me that they didn't even try for diplomacy if they are trying to "save it", as you say.

Oops should have been more specific lol the traveler is the darkness, but all these races think it needs protected from the other races which they believe are the darkness

Giving out technology, (well more like guiding) for a sinister purpose. But you said save it so I wasn't sure. Also, I'm not sure how that would go. I thought they were specifically working for the Darkness. I thought it was an entity unto its own self.

And my friends said I was dumb for thinking the traveler could be the bad guy this whole time. Especially when the awoken queen felt sympathy for it.
