Destiny did many things right. Multiplayer strikes environment design Story would of been ok if it was told well... it wasn't, seemed like it jumped from being found by the ghost to beating something in a final fight. I'm not sure what it was. I think bungie left alot on the cutting room floor to achieve release date. I'm still enjoining the game play

Did not read, too long Kappa
-
It's a sequel. Mass Effect was the golden age.
-
Yes and Mass Effect ripped off Descent:Freespace 1 and 2. And if you don't know what i'm talking about it's because if you're gonna steal a plot then steal one from a game that didn't sell well.
-
I felt the story telling was like dark souls they didn't hand you the story in a silver platter instead the made it hard to find which I enjoy
-
There's a plot? I've been playing for 30 hours and I have no idea what's going on. They should have done a better job of ripping off Mass Effect. Biower know how to tell a story. Peter Dingleberry talking shit for 20 seconds in a loading screen doesn't cut it. *dunks balls in OP's tea when he's not looking*
-
Hlarious
-
Well, the Dinklebot 3000 didn't exactly help you get immersed in the story either
-
if u guys want a story... read a book!
-
...ow
-
Name one game with an original, unprecedented story. I dare you.

*sips pee*

Yeah and that ending sucked, if all you get at the end is a bunch of pretty lights floating around the traveler i would have just flew my plane over it and dumped a shit load of glitter out my plane and saved myself 13 hours of this reach around we call story mode.

Edited by KilljoyDetective: 9/11/2014 9:52:22 AMExos look like Turians and the Vex are basically the Geth, except they can teleport up your ass when they feel like it.
The Queen of The Reef talks like a Hanar.
Can they rip off of Mass Effect any more? Yes they can, they're locking content on the disc just like Mass Effect 3 did.
-
Never got into Mass Effect. Wasn't into interracial.
-
No comically absurd starchild... Not mass effect.
-
Why does the queen and the queens brother have no fudgin name lmao
-
Omfg that's funny lets hope that each installment doesn't having our guys dying then comming back to life >_> n I'm pretty sure the queen is Cerberus and she's gonna revive us somehow then will work for them in destiny 2 and follow it story wise mass effect <_< destiny to me IS mass effect / borderlands it's a win win for me lol
-
Lol, dark force/alien force uniting humanity for survival is a recurrent theme in sci-fi. Agree some of the dialogues/monologues were not my favorite lines, but understand this is not about the story. It took me a while to get this as I've only played linear campaign stories. This is more like episodic tales to guide you through the game. No point A to point B clear beginning and ending. No clear hero to guide you. You are the hero and have been given carte blanche to make your own fun. Haven't been able to play as much as I want to because life gets in the way, but at level 8, I've barely scratched the surface. This is not like any games I've played before, loving it.

Edited by TheOtherBell: 9/11/2014 11:12:44 PMHa. The game would've been so much better if it did a better job copying Mass Effect. Nice try, Bungie.

Edited by TeKnoVKNG23: 9/11/2014 1:07:33 AMWhile Mass Effect did a great job telling their story, it was largely ripped from other sci-fi films and games. There are scenes right out of Star Wars, Star Trek, ALIENS, 5th Element, etc. that you can pick up on right away even starting in the first game. So what's the point? It's almost impossible for a game to be "original" these days in theme and plot w/o there already being something out there similar.
-
Whoever made that created a better story than what destiny has right now at least it explains something.
-
Lol I got a chuckle out of this thanks OP.

Such mass
