Destiny PvP is Outrageous?!

Who feels it is so unevenly matched, that it isn't fun sometimes...? Halo had equal weapons and health. Destiny has a level 29 playing a 7. I can't stand this crap! (Also I played in beta, I did great and had a good time because there were few choices of weapons, now the higher levels get any gun they want while I'm stuck with the crappy broken lens gun)
I'm not talking about damage guys... im referring to gun stats
EDIT: I made this post in the first week that this game came out everyone. And these problems are STILL going on. I hope that tells the community something about this games PvP!

1 ReplyIts a fun game etc. But I want a multi player match that is fair and its hardly fair when someone's gotten lucky and has been dropped the best exotics and legendarys and your stuck with worse off weapons and body suits with not as much perks. I understand in the open world people who have grinded and gotten lucky have it easier but in multi player there needs to be more balance such as everyone having accsess to the same weapons, suits and perks without having to grind for ten years to get them and feel satisfied. Make multi player more fair and grant everyone access to the same equipment so we can have fair gun fights And instead of people winging they can just change to the overpowered weapon the the best perks themselves and if they still get beaten realise its because of their skill level and not the other person having all the decent guns, perks and suits. Please make it like this in number 2. And give us ten wormspore at a time in stead of one or two. Who wants to farm that for hours on end just to open your perks you've already grinded to unlock. More fun less time wasting please. Thank you.

I love Iron Banner but hate standard crucible its just bad. Atleast in IB ots supposed to be about power in crucible i shoot a guy in the face with a sniper he has a small amount of health left but if i gey shot with any bullet i die instantly.

2 RepliesI was an adamant Halo PvP'er. From Halo 1 playing on XBConnect (before there was a built in mechanic for online playing and you had to troll chat forums to find a game) through Halo 4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Battlefield, and through the ranks of console based online FPS. PvP is my bread and butter. Bungie, you have royally let me down. Unbalanced guns (i.e. a shotgun is not a shotgun is not a shotgun) and playing PvP is not enough to have good, balanced PvP gear. Subclasses are unbalanced, especially in The Taken King. You don't auto balance matches, in other words, its 4 on 6 and you don't auto switch someone, or force the team with 6 to sit someone until it's balanced. Maps are geared towards mid to short range weapons. You don't even have capture the flag. Bungie, in two words, f$*%& you for screwing up PvP.

2 RepliesIts outrageous in the sense that 50% of winning team has someone using Thorn. TLW, the 4 big shotguns don't follow far behind. Imo competitive PvP is a joke, until there is actual variation, strats which don't require blink, among other things. Just like the answer to all PvE is Ghorn, the answer to everything PvP is Thorn or TLW and shot package aim effective shotgun.

I will just say I love the PvP in this game but I'm not blind to its faults. The biggest issue I see is the special and heavy weapons. The only way this game can be considered competitive is to remove heavy ammo and have special drop in its place twice per match. Shotguns and snipers are considered "power" weapons and when everyone has one the game becomes a mess. Yes the scarcity of special ammo in the crucible has helped this but not enough. I also believe that exotics should not be allowed in crucible due to the fact that the perks for most of those armor and weapons are almost impossible to balance for. Blink is another major issue that effectively makes shotguns a medium range option and the major reason the "primary" shotgun is in the meta right now. Blink evades rockets and supers much easier than other jumps and increases the characters overall speed traversing from on side of the map to the other very quickly. The point is I have tons of fun with the PvP but unless certain things are completely overhauled it will never be a balanced experience.

Games pvp is awful, one of the worst I've played with some of the worst players skill wise. Patch should be good though.

Edited by x4rtyju: 8/31/2015 5:16:06 AMI don't take PvP seriously, and pretty much not even play it except during IB week but I always get quickly burnt out with all the balance and lag issues whenever I do play crucible. I don't know how it's lasted this long without them doing anything, they promise changes in TTK, but I know TTK will introduce different balance issues that they'll take forever to fix too.

They should have hit the delete button on it within a month or 2 after launch and refocused massive attention on coming up with a better game plan for pvp. It is a nightmare and no fun at all. It is not even the horribly unbalanced weapons that turn me off as much as the fact that there is NO, ZERO,NILL,NEGATIVE, 0, 0, 0 stratagy involved in the PvP. That might be ok for Halo, but this is supposed to be more like an MMO not just some arcade shooter. Bungie please quit sitting on your pile of crap PvP and do something about it. How much money do you need from us to be able to make PvP fun! Completely scrap PvP as it is and try going another direction with it. Even if you have to turn PvP into more of a tower defense / MOBA style PvP, or make it round based like CS:GO. There is bunches of other directions Bungie can try to go with the PvP instead of just sitting there glaring about this joke of a PvP situation that has been going on since launch! Bungie if you want a huge player base with insane money coming in make fun PvP that is not completely MINDLESS killing that last a couple mins then just ends when some number has been reached , its pathetic to be totally honest.

1 ReplyYou can't really complain about it too much I comparison to other shooters as Destiny have such a huge library of contributing factors. It's like league of legends. It tools over 5 years to finally get the sweet spot of weapon variety.

Take out Thorn, and give Fusion Rifles their ammo back. It's fun when you get a lobby with no thorn.
