Also, how does the fact that I haven't "really" played it excuse the terrible ending or lazy design choices?

Your pretty much admitting that you havent played it! Stop posting a scathingly negative review about a game that you havent even played one bit of. Even if u played the beta you dont have any firsthand knowledge of any content outside of the moon(at most) and therefore have no personal experience on which to base your post. GTFO!!!

Again, I didn't need to "really" play it. All of the design flaws were glaringly obvious from the Alpha and Beta and literally every flaw that I saw there is in the full game, [i]and[/i] those exact flaws are why the game ultimately fails.
