PS3 code error BOAR
Hello. Ive got problem,i just bought psn verion of Destiny for ps 3, installed it downloaded 1.02 version, created account on bungie site, hopefully accepted terms of use (i said hopefully because i'm not sure if creating an account and stuff imeans accepting it). I cant log in i just got this error message with code name BOAR when (i think) game tries to download additional content its 169MB of something. Does anyone ealse got this problem? Or is it common right now, and do anyone have any information about time when this will be fixed? Or how to solve it ?

The above stuff did not work for me on PS3, but here's what did: when it says it's downloading content, before it errors out, press the PS button in the middle of your controller. It brought up the Compatibility Pack screen for me, from where I was able to install the game. Hope this helps.

A seemingly easy fix I just read said to press the PS button on your controller before the error message appears. That may bring up the download page that is suppose to appear. If not, below is the method I used and worked well for me (it is more time consuming, however.) The steps on Bungie do work if followed exactly. Uninstall Destiny from your system. Create a new account in the United Kingdom. You can put any address in as long as UK is the region. Put your disc in and select it to begin the update. Here is the crucial step I think people aren't doing. Once this initial update is finished, DO NO PRESS THE X BUTTON TO PLAY. Close the game and switch to your original user account. Now start the game again and press X to play. It will bring up a dialogue to install the Compatibility Pack. Do this and you should be playing soon.

3 RepliesHey mate am in Australia and same problem, i went on youtbe and looked to make extra USA account, took like 5 mins,, and worked perfectly.. once you downloaded it you can just switch to your normal account!!! with the USA address i just copied the one on the youtube video.. i called me extra account USA.. easy mate

1 ReplyHey I had the same issue when using my Asia account. I switched to my us acc and the patch was successfully downloaded. My guess is the download content is not yet available in Asia region yet.

Hey dude. I spent the last 2 hours surfing these forums hoping to find an actual fix to this stupid problem. First, I made a EUR account. Did not work. Then I made a US account. Now i'm downloading the Destiny Compatibility Pack 1 and I didn't get the Boar error. Before this, though, I deleted Destiny's data before opening the game. I'm on my US account right now, downloading it. Try to do what I did. I remade an account in the UK, and when that didn't work, I remade one in US. I'm gonna repost this comment to other peoples'. 11 RepliesI had this problem as well. I read on another forum that you can create a US psn ID and use it to download the patch, and then quit destiny, and log in with your Asia PSN to play. I've tried it, it works
