Split screen is one of the best parts of gaming, having friends around playing the game while eating and drinking all night is fantastic and gaming doesn't get better than that.. playing with friends over Xbox live/psn with a headset is not a worthy alternative - its great but nothing beats actually playing with them in the same room, so all this "split screen is dead" and "there no need for it any more " are bullshit. its amazing to see how many people don't have friends on this site. I agree that there should be split screen, but I would never use it. For people with really bad social anxiety, like myself, it's hard making real life friends.

You said it! Completely agree

I completely agree! Me and my friends love gaming in the living room, getting in a slightly lesser state of mind (but not through alcohol if you know what I mean, man) and we need split screen to do that. Bungie wants to make a truly social game, yet they deny face to face contact between two players as they play the game. I hope they add it in later through DLC, as I don't see how a feature they apparently "love" can be skipped. source: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/e3-2014-bungie-s-destiny-doesn-t-support-split-screen-co-op/1100-6420387/
