In my understanding: The Traveler and it's Light appeared in the Sol System somewhere around in the early 21st century (2000 A.C), the Golden Age lasting about 300+ years, the Collapse (the coming of the Darkness) about months?/a decade(s)?, the Dark Age up to the City Age about 700+ years later, and our resurrection as a new Guardian (in-game) 4-5 years later since Destiny 1 up to Forsaken... So it has been about a millennium since our First contact with the Traveler, about somewhere in the 3000s-3100s of A.C... [Low Whistles at the years of Destiny in Lore-wise] Although the [i]exact[/i] years of Humanity since that first in-game cinematic of the First Contact of the Traveler back in Destiny 1 is still unknown, so this is just my view.
