Kind of a silly topic but I'm interested. I was a Titan in beta and it seemed like it could fly ridiculously high with it's jetpack jump. How did you guys find the other two jump types compared and does that in ANY way effect who you choose to play the game through as. Such a small thing but I wonder if one of them seems to be more fun than the others to any of you.

I played hunter, because I liked the whole stealth idea(which I thoght there was none but then the bladedancer cloak abilty cane along.) But I SERIOUSLY want blink. My only problem is you blink forward, so you don't go upward nearly as much.
-
Yeah Warlocks had the weakest of the jumps, lets just hope they are better now
-
I thought I would like the double jump more than others, but once I got the hang of it glide became my favorite. People are saying glide is bad for PvP, but I think you just have to use it right.

Hunter. Triple. Jump.
-
personally i see blink and catapult as game changers

Edited by Thunda_Punk: 9/7/2014 8:26:31 PMFrom what I experienced in the beta, your movement ability centers on how you engage combat, and what angle you believe will allow you to get the upper hand on the enemy. I play the Warlock, and using glide really allows for a wider range of movement in the air compared to the Hunter and Titan in my opinion. Compared to the Hunters double jump I would imagine that it would feel sluggish and maybe even slightly dull in pacing. However in the crucible the ability of gliding allowed me the time to assess where my enemy was attacking from and how I could attack or escape to engage again from a better position. It really forces you to use the environment to your advantage and be creative with kills.

The hunter jump was awesome and could get up anywhere I wanted. I hate the GLIDE omg I could barely get up to places I guess it takes more practice to master.
-
Hunter jumps highest and fastest
-
I loved the Hunters Double Jump, it helped so much and was fun to use
-
The warlocks ability that you unlock later which let's you shoot in midair seems cool
-
Jumping styles Hunter=Mario Titan=Luigi Warlock=Princess peach
-
Warlocks jump sucks. Screams "shoot me!" in the crucible. So i did.
-
Warlock=slow/long, hunter=fast/high, titan was right in the middle
-
The jump abilities are very important to the way I play, I like the double jump, sorta like the glide, and didn't try the titans boost.
-
Not more "fun" for me. But I found the Warlock's jump to be the most unpredictable and difficult to use of the three. Not eough to keep me from being a Warlock...but enough to be REALLY annoying.
-
so, how about that blink?
-
I bet you were royally bummed they wiped your titan. But you should have used the beta to try out all three guardians. Try out all the different weapons. Try out everything you possibly could and do your best to learn as much about the game and it's mechanics as possible. I did that and I found out I liked the warlock best. I thought I would like that one the least, but it was the titan I liked the least. As for the jumps: TITAN: jumps the highest and quickly HUNTER: initial jump sucks. You need double jump WARLOCK: the slowest jump and comes with glide witch slows your decent.
-
Hunter's triple jump > everything.
-
Well, I hate the warlock glide. I can't find a single situation where It's not worse than a lift pack or triple jump. I like the hunter jump the best but the Titan's pack isn't bad. Still, warlock glide is shite imo

All I can say is TELEPORT IS BEST! Why? Because it's -blam!-ing teleport.

Its a glide that perspective wise seems like a weaker and slower double jump. But maybe I was using it wrong.
-
I care, but it won't be the decision-maker when I eventually decide on what class I want to play.
-
I liked the titans jump least, actually. The hunters jump felt best gameplay-wise, but the warlock glide was my favorite. It's just so fun.
-
I honestly loved the Warlocks ability. Specially for PvE. I had to practice with it a bit but it was worth it. And when you glide you don't have to hang in the air. You could do the first glide an hit it again to shoot you to the ground if need be. Plus I could reach high and farther places when I needed to.

As long as I can't superbounce I think it will be alright
-
The hunter was by-far my favorite. After playing each class to it's extent I can say that the Hunter's jump seems to be the most versatile, making it easy to reach high up places without much hang time. The Titan's jump is good for maneuvering from platform to platform, or escaping explosives in haste. The Warlock's jump is essentially pudding. It's great for avoiding things by just flying overhead but it really isn't useful for getting up and around. If they were to add a directional control to the Warlock, it would make it so much better. Give us the ability to float left, right, forward, backwards, up, and down. In essence, 3D movement, rather than just a weak float.
