So playing Destiny Beta, I was creamed by the enemies and it was very reassuring to see them use cover fire and surround me. But whenever I walked up on a group, or I came up behind them, they seemed the be literally apart of the landscape; they just kind of stood there waiting for someone to walk right friggin in front if them. Maybe Destiny could put in some patrolling mechanics for enemies so they don't seem so bland at first. Don't get me wrong, playing some levels on hard was aggravating, but just maybe at some life to them? Even have them chilling around a campfire (if that's what aliens do) playing some weird alien game or have some of the lower level fallen be skittish if their comrades die. Even when I was scoped in down my sniper in the open world, a group of fallen would just be zoning out, you could easily have a enemy look out with a pair of funky binoculars scouting around. Please fix!

I agree on some points but feel compelled to point out that the poll has no option to disagree

Edited by Xyyth: 9/25/2014 12:07:46 PMI call it "cockroach AI". You aim at something and they all scatter behind rocks. Once they start shooting, they are stupid and pop out in the same places or they unload their weapon over and over again at one focused point. It's really strange. I'll tell you what type of player welcomes this though. PC players coming to this game learning to aim and shoot with a controller and not a keyboard and mouse. It's a difficult change, especially in PVP.

Yeah this NEEDS to be in the game it will add tons of variety
-
They do get scared when there are only a few of them left. They will swarm in large numbers but back off when they begin to dwindle.
-
This is a on sided poll. I didn't notice this at all from the beta. Why isn't that an option. Why only polls that generally agree with the authors bias?
-
I'd be amused to see some of these things you mentioned. Great idea for an addition.

I like the lack of a choice that says you didnt see this. Which I didnt lol. Maybe just because ive been scrounging for Helium Filaments so much recently, but the Fallen on the moon are picking through scrap and shit around the bases

To me I still see this in the game, and I did post this during the Beta discussions. But I doubt they would be able to fix this within the next month or even fix it at all, because they would have to change several AI mechanics which is very hard and meticulous. But they say the game is going to be around for 10+ years so they will have time for tweaking and fixing the problems that we weed out or express. I know that some people don't see this and that's great! I wish I didn't see this, but even if you didn't find this a problem, walking up on a group of enemies doing something, like hacky sack, and not "waiting" in their original farming positions. Share your opinions!

I'm not sure if this is off topic or along the same lines, but would it be possible to have a villain of some sorts? I don't mean just a captain or knight with a yellow health bar, but an actual enemy character who interacts with you. Not just grunting like all of the enemies do. For example the original star wars in the first few minutes you are introduced to Darth Vader and you know right away this guy is bad news. And sure enough he is a central perhaps most central character of all. Can you imagine that franchise being as popular if only Strom troopers were the villains?

This is mainly refering to patrol i think. Rather than enemies spawning and guarding a pile of debri there should be "scouting parties" as well. Generaly wandering around or on a set path
-
Even if.they are to still sray in one spot.have them.sit, or lean..... Or sleep
-
Makes it easier to sneak up on them with a shotgun. Need to get to level 3 grimoire for shotgun before they fix this.

I thought "lifeless enemies" were the point of all video games?
-
That was a huge part of my Just How Stupid are the Fallen You make some extremely good points

Edited by yslhellboy: 11/14/2014 5:15:10 PMR.I.P to the realistic enemies of Halo like the grunts running away when u shoot everyone else or the sword wielding aliens moving slowly behind you if you can't see them or them dodging bullets

This would make the game feel so much better.
