Being a gamer in Australia most of the time sucks. Crapy laws, late releases and the list goes on. But having the bungee servers going live 1 min past 12 on the 9th is awesome. That's 14 hours before you US.

Your progress wont matter. You lack of being a leader but so good at being a child.
-
Servers are up 9/8/14
-
I Love the fact I'll be playing Destiny as Bungie intended. Not some Nerfed up toddler version your government requires.
-
Because I'm better than you, I couldn't give a damn. Go ahead and play early. That won't help when you're losing ;)
-
Good luck not getting eaten alive by the giant spiders and iggy azalea's ass before you load up the game.
-
You know, you're not the only Australian on these forums. Good job being a dickweed anyway...

Edited by gallp13: 8/30/2014 2:37:24 AMI apologise on behalf of all Australians. As this post is rude and trollish.
-
Heh.... It's a ten-year franchise. I'm in no rush.

Okay everyone, for like the 15,000th time... The servers will be live when NZ hits midnight. If you manage to get a physical copy of the game before midnight in your timezone, you can play. If you have a digital download, you have to wait until 12am PDT. I don't know why that's the case, it's just what Sony is doing. Oh, and OP, coming from another Australian, you're a dick.
-
Dude you wont be able to playuntil 2 pm youre time because bungie opens the servers on 12 PDT
-
Im in AUS but my PSN pre load is count down to New Zealand time, which is 10PM here and 16 hours ahead of the USA. Pretty sweet.
-
-
That's crap yo. No way I can beat you to the raid with a 14 hour head start. This is why bungie is retarded.
-
"Laugh it up fuzz-ball" said Han to Chewy. lol (or is it fur-ball Han says?) : )

Edited by AzurianOni: 8/30/2014 2:59:33 AMBungie states that the servers go up at the same time as US midnight time

Edited by Mr. Based & Watch: 8/30/2014 2:50:21 AMThe sources I've tried to find have said two different answers so at this point I have no idea whats happening on the ninth.

Nope. They will turn on the servers when it hits midnight on the west coast of the US. Bungie headquarters is located in Washington state, so it makes sense that they will turn them on when midnight gets to their home town.
-
Nope, we can just change our regions on the console's settings to get on when you do (Digital Downloaders only).
-
Too bad I will probably never play with you since the servers are so far apart. Idgaf :D
-
The servers go up at the same time so if it's 12 for you and we are ahead by 14 hours we would still be playing at the same time...
-
Except that's not how it works. (Sorry to burst your bubble)
-
Sucks to be you
-
I'm thinking that while you have the physical copy of the game (which is awesome) you will run into a problem accessing their servers. Not 100 percent on that, but seeing as their servers go live when 1201 PDT hits I doubt you will be able to play the game, but if you do awesome and please upload video!

Have fun dude!

You're lucky man! Don't listen to all the retards on here. I'm sick of people who are convinced they're right about the time zone thing. Deej couldn't have been more clear "whenever it's 9/9 somewhere in the world... You can play." If you some how get a disc before midnight on 9/9 in America then you could play. The digital guardian editions are the only ones who have to wait until midnight PST. All that to say, I'm jealous of you haha. Cya stateside guardian!
