aren't there going to be like 4 raid scenarios on the WHOLE game incluiding expansions?

Well there is only the vault of glass at launch, and I wouldn't expect more than one raid per expansion. However Bungie said that the Vault of Glass took a top clan 16 hours TO FAIL, and that experienced raiders will still be looking at a 3-4 hour long activity.
