The only fact you need to know why PC's are better than PS4 / Xbone: PC version of Destiny will not run at 30 frames per second like the 2nd class citizen "next gen" consoles will. Debate over.

  • Good pc gaming rig: 1200 dollars Life: 3 years before it starts falling apart or needs upgrades. Console price: 400 dollars Life: 10+ yrs? Long ass time They both have their pros and cons

  • If you take gaming serious then $1200 for 3 years is pretty cheap. You don't even need to spend that much if you build one yourself btw, and the gaming quality is far better than these cheap gaming rigs, aka PS4 / Xbone. I am very disappointed with Sony and Xbox, they need to take gaming more serious and offer better machines to gamers who've been around a while.

  • Let's see what 1200 dollars can get you in console gaming. 3 extra controllers($180), a nice gaming headset($120), and that leaves you with 500 dollars for games and 400 for the system. Btw, that's just $1200 for the computer, don't forget to include the 22inch+ monitor, speakers, headset, gaming mouse, any keyboard, mousepad, etc etc. Oh and don't forget games. My point is, pc gaming is expensive, not everyone can throw their paycheck into gaming. With ALL that aside, I know this by experience. I own everything I just mentioned for pc. I own a PS4, 360, and PS3. Plus a decent amount of games. I consider myself a casual gamer. Cheers.

  • Here's my point: once you find and play a really good PC game and play it on a decent gaming rig, ($500 - $800 is enough to build a machine that can handle any game on max settings), then you go play consoles.....uh......there is a HUGE difference! It's no different than driving a BMW, then a Hyundai. Sure, a Hyundai is ok, but once you've driven a BMW......it's very hard to go back. Consoles should offer more options because it is a fact that PC gamers play on PC's because of the superior gaming experience. Consoles today can't handle big games, just look at Destiny running at 30 fps. 30 fps is a joke with the tech we have now. Bungie is a great company and I have faith in their dev team, and that can only mean that Xbone and PS4 are junk systems because Bungie couldn't get their game to run at 60 fps. The truth is in the specs, and Xbone and PS4's specs are laughable.

Let's see you build a PS4 or xbox one with 400 dollars. BTW, you are unrealistic about building a good gaming pc for 500-800 dollars. I spent 1200 on mine about a year and a half ago.

  • First off, I drive an American muscle car, not some Korean piece of derp. Second, if you read anything I wrote, you would've seen what I own. Are you out of any decent responses or are you gonna try this time?

  • PS4 and Xbone are the Hyundai's, your muscle car is your PC.

actually you can get a pretty good gaming pc for 500-800$ depending where you go, but people buying consoles usually can't afford to buy computers, since to have a computer equivalent to the ps4 or X1 with the same amount of games still cost more. also, consoles are typically more convinient than computers when it comes to communication, like inviting someone to your game or sending rage messages to those who troll you. Consoles are more convinient for most people anyways. and ps4 from what I've seen doesn't cap at 30 fps (at least in the tower, technically speaking of course). and having 60 fps is pretty pointless since the brain normally sees at about 40-50 fps. anything more than that is excessive. also, i don't see how 30 fps (a totally acceptable speed) takes away from the game at all. you're trying to make the paint on your metaphorical BMW seem more important to the car's function than it really is.

  • The difference between 30 and 60 fps is HUGE! Play any game that runs at 30 fps, then just throw in a game that runs at 60. Notice how smooth multiplayer is? Notice how the game just isn't as fluid as one that runs at 60? I've been eagerly awaiting this game just as much as anyone, but my sails were deflated when I saw the 30 fps. In story mode this game looks very nice, PvP though is a different story and the ugly 30 fps monster reared it's ugly head and suddenly Destiny didn't look like a modern shooter.

  • i never said the difference wasn't noticeable, but if i got a rig goin at around 45 fps, it really wouldn't look much different than 60. if it was 50fps it would look practically the same. besides, choosing not to play a game because it plays at 30 fps is an extremely inefficient way of thinking. 30 fps is perfectly acceptable. i can see all the bullets coming my way, and all of my bullets going where I aim them. i dont really get any benefit from making it 60 fps aside from it looking nicer, so why bother? again, ur making the paint sound more important to performance of your BMW than it is.

  • I don't think anyone would argue if Bungie released the game running at 60 fps, and that is the bottom line. I'm sure I'll enjoy the game.....but I know how much better 60 fps is over 30 and that is my burden.

  • hey that's a pretty long time for a pc. I've had my original xbox for longer though. works like a dream! its the best thing ever when you're in the mood for some Starwars: Battlefront! that thing's got a lot of history. but 1200 should get you set up with some really nice graphics with a processor to match. but you definitely could've saved some more money. was that just for the pc itself? or did it include mouse, keyboard, display, programs, etc.?

  • Not everyone has an 80fps $9,000 gaming machine. Consoles represent equality. You can still browse the internet, you can still play games. Almost everything on PC is on phones, tablets, and consoles. All it is occasionally good for is it's quality and speed. If it's good.

  • While another fact is emerging. Even if Pc got it and it was an unlocked fps, a locked fps counter is way more reliable than watching ur fps jump from 15 to 90 to 3 lmao
