I thought legendaries were the ones you could equip one at a time only...
Can someone clarify on the difference between Legendary and Exotic?

The legendaries are just the highest Type of "normal" weapons. Common-uncommon-rare-legendary The exotics are the special ones, you can equip only one weapon and one armor thats exotic. Legendaries work like anything else, equip as many as you wish :) Si basicly at the end of the game you should have equipped one exotic weapon, one exotic armorpiece and the Rest is going to be legendaries

Legendary items are purple, and you can have as many purple items on as you want; these are sold by vendors. Exotic items are orange/ gold, and you may only have one exotic weapon and one exotic piece of gear equipped at a time; finding these range from anything such as an engram, to the vendors, to killing a dreg and finding one randomly. Ah. I thought it was the other way around... In my opinion Legendary feels like it should be rarer than Exotic but I'm not a game designer so I'll defer to Bungie on this one lol. Thanks for the help, and see you starside on 9/9!
