I am 38 and I have been playing video games longer than most of you have been alive. I see everyone telling their age which seems to be the early 20s for the most part. Most everyone I know does not playing video games, but I have not been this excited about a game since Halo 2 or KOTOR. Anyone else in the same boat?
Edit: I am amazed at all the responses. Thank you all. See all of you on the 9th. Xbox One: pepelewe

I'm a quarter

38? what the hell are you talking about? Everyone knows it stops at 20. Jeez.
-
KOTOR. I miss that series.

37 here. I'm not a huge gamer, but I've owned about 10 different consoles over the years. Destiny really caught my attention though. It's safe to say I'll be playing it quite a bit over its lifespan. My PS4 is essentially a Destiny box.

I'm 29, my girl 27. We both play games. Most of out friends 21 - 56 still play games. That's also a wide range. I'm trying to get my girl a little more interested in Destiny. Then I'll get it for my 360 so I can play with her. She's been glancing at the moon trailer as of late. She loves zombie games. I got my fingers crossed.

34 and I don't give a flying flip!!! I'm gonna nerd out in the line with the youngins at midnight cause I took time off of work and I told my wife and daughter that Dad is under quarantine and not to be bothered for at least 24hrs. And I'm gonna probably be under the influence of alcohol. And then load up on energy drinks. Whooohoo, F***ING RAGE!!!!

Edited by TomatoDragon: 8/22/2014 2:35:33 PM39 here, man. Others have posted being in 50's and 60's so no worries. In fact, check out this data. http://www.statista.com/statistics/189582/age-of-us-video-game-players-since-2010/ 36 and older are the largest group of gamers. You're in the majority, bud. :)

36 here and I still remember sitting in the mall with my brother waiting for halo 2 midnight release. There is alot of us that still play games and are very excited. Its just odd that these days I have a family. My wife understood what she was getting into. Heck she got me my xbone just a month back.
-
42 here. I bought a PS4 specifically for Destiny so yeah Im a wee bit excited.
-
35. Started with Space invaders and pitfall on Atari 2600.
-
39 myself. I agree I was raised in the arcades and cut my gaming teeth in a pile of 10p pieces. I don't miss the games of that golden age (low rez, shitty controls and four colours) but I do miss the atmosphere and the excitement of a new game hitting the venues. Destiny has me pumped. More pumped than when Sega released Afterburner all those years ago. Those same juices that raged through my veins all those years ago are racing through my veins right now, and I love it. I hope the sequel has the same affect.

Not really in the same boat cause I'm 20. But I think it's awesome that your 38 and still playing games. Hope I'll keep that with me until I die.
-
33. First console amstrad CPC 464 with tapes ! With f tapes !!! Making the worst sound ever when a game was loading !! I can still hear it ! Nooooo!!!
-
I am 30 and have a few friends who are around the same age who area going to be playing the game. I guess i am lucky in that regard.
-
30 here. I was actually surprised about the age-range in that other thread that was asking for our age after the 10 planned years of Destiny. And yeah, I've played Videogames as long as I can remember, but Destiny definitely got me all hyped up like few games managed to in all those years. You're not alone ;)
-
I AM BOATMAN.
-
40+ here =)
-
Yea dude, when Destiny came out, and then I played the beta, I was ecstatic
-
32 here.... Game on.
-
Yay, I am almost the youngest in this thread....30, now I feel young again. Same on being excited...last time would have been when Twilight Princess was going to be released. Also maybe Mass Effect 2.
-
Turing 38 in December and I'm not stopping. Don't worry about the age. Probably be playing in the retirement home when I'm 90. Join our site That Wizard it's a player finder for Destiny. There are a lot of us over 30 in the community.

I'm 45. I, too, have never been this excited, other than when the Atari first came out (or color television - most on this forum may not have realized that TV is an abbreviation for the word television - lol).
-
I'll be 29 a week after release. I haven't been this pumped for a new IP since Mass Effect. The only games I've been this pumped for are Destiny, Mass Effect (the sequels too), and Final Fantasy VII and VIII KOTOR was awesome too. Pre EA Bioware was -blam!-ing absolutely amazing
-
Will be 32 the week after destiny launches. My bday week I have off work and I will be playing destiny the whole week lol.
-
I just turned thirty and haven't been this excited since halo3.
