Q.a is a tough job. Long hours little pay. Plus you are not just playing a game and getting paid for it. Q.a is actual work. http://m.ign.com/articles/2012/03/29/the-tough-life-of-a-games-tester

  • Keep in mind that a game testing job usually doesn't mean playing a game like normal and telling the developers what's good and what's bad and how to make the game more fun. QA Testing means you're looking for bugs and glitches in a very methodical and often repetitive way. You might be given a small section of the game, and have to go through it over and over and over more times than you can count, in every possible way, doing absolutely everything you can imagine trying in order to make it break or crash. Then if you do find a bug, you have to see if you can narrow down exactly how it happened, trying again and again to replicate it. You need to be able to file clear bug reports to the devs that will make it easy for them to find the bug themselves and fix it, and you have to test their "fixes" to confirm that the bug is actually gone and see if the fix made any new bugs pop up. For some test jobs, they may want you to have something like a degree in computer science so you have an understanding of how software works on a deeper level. If it's something you're passionate about, by all means go for it, but know that it's not exactly about being paid to play games.

  • There is! In order to do this, look up on the top right and click your icon and then click profile. On the bottom left panel you will see icons for news, legend, ect. and at the bottom you will see a "... More" one. move your mouse over it, click user research, and fill out the form. Please note that game testers are always possible, but not very likely. However, user research will help Bungie determine what kind of gamer you are none the less which the do take into account when developing games. Hope that answers your question.
