I hate how it's casual vs. competitive (hardcore) players in the forums..
Shouldn't we be helping each other to make a game that we all love to be better?
How can private matches hurt or spoil the fun for casual gamers?
Edit: well at least we ALL agree, that private matches won't hurt anyone by adding it to the game. Thank you for the posts, I have a bigger understanding for both sides.

It's the insurmountable wave of jerks who show up in the forums and lobbies making sure your competitive culture finds itself rated as a choice between them or a case of tape worms and gout that's the problem.
