That's like a high school Bball player that loves Bball but Hates NBA..
I hate how it's casual vs. competitive (hardcore) players in the forums..
Shouldn't we be helping each other to make a game that we all love to be better?
How can private matches hurt or spoil the fun for casual gamers?
Edit: well at least we ALL agree, that private matches won't hurt anyone by adding it to the game. Thank you for the posts, I have a bigger understanding for both sides.

because you just called me "casual"

Edited by Owen: 8/17/2014 2:07:58 AMI'm a casual and while I don't hate MLG, I think certain individuals can give casuals a bad impression of the MLG community. And I have to say I'm seeing a lot of those individuals in this thread.
-
Idk maybe they think they're stuck up?
-
Perhaps, casuals don't understand the patience and time put into become a semi pro.
-
I really enjoy playing against good players, makes the game fun. If I get beat by a great player, then it makes me more determined to become a better player. You can only become a better player by playing a more skilled opponent.
-
why do MLG players hate casual players ?
-
People that play mlg should take it like playing professional chess not like professional football.
-
Because MLG is full of blowhards.
-
They hate it because they aren't good at it. And when you're less good at something, it becomes less fun.
-
Hey dude. I'm a casual gamer when it homes to all games. Same goes with most, if not all, of my friends. We enjoy doing well and doing our best but are nowhere near MLG performance and we are cool with that. As well as we don't have hardcore gamers either so don't worry I'm all for equal play as well as enjoy playing some competitive games against some people that are "hardcore"
-
Because we casuals don't like to take the game seriously. We just like to sit back, play, and have fun. As for me, my friends who take games seriously seem to have excuses for every time they die. And that annoys the hell outta me
-
I just hate the casuals because they ruin games with their endless crying and whining due to their lack of skill/ brain power. No, I am not an MLG gamer; however I am a competent gamer and a I play to win!

What if I tried my arse off trying to make PvE montages and boss speed runs? I'm pretty sure PvE is not considered competitive, but would I not be considered hardcore? Again, what if I want to 'pub stomp' in the Crucible? Would I not be hardcore? Because I'd certainly not be playing competitively.

Just because private matches won't be there on launch doesn't mean they won't add them later. No matter what they are saying right now.

Regular CoD gamer tag [MLG] xxxXXXSup0rQu1kSc0p3sW33DSandwhichMLGNOSCOPEXXXxxx

It's not the mlg players that are disliked, but rather the ten year olds screaming mlg pro pro elite and other ridiculous crap. I happen to like true mlg players, just not the wannabe trash.
-
I don't hate MLG. But I do find it hilarious when it's described as a "sport". It's about as much of a sport as competitive eating is.
-
I like to derp occasionally but hardcores seem to ruin the fun and pick fights.
-
I don't have a problem with MLG. But there are certainly some crazy mofo's in the circuit. I do however find it laughable when people call it a 'sport', come on really?
-
I don't like the mean cocky MLG ones...
-
People on the internet get along? OP must be a dreamer.
-
If you don't like clan battles, ladders, and tournaments fine. But don't hate on us that do want the feature and are disappointed by the lack of it. We are after all talking about a game made by the same people who made Halo, a game with a huge population of clans and tournaments. That could be a part of this game IN ADDITION TO THE GREAT PVE.
-
Because they say things like casual
-
Because casuals don't want to admit that there are people who are better than them at the game. Some people prefer an easy COOP game where everyone gets to win, and some people like challenge and competition in their lives.
-
I like playing with groups of skilled players who work well together but not (at least for me) when you say MLG I think of Douche-Bros who watch youtube looking for glitches and exploits instead of actually playing the way you're supposed to. I remember gaming back on Call of Duty 2 when it seemed like it was just people playing against people, no glitches, no exploits, just strategy and reflexes. Now it's about shooting from the top of your head or hiding in rocks or flying around. I miss "the good old days".

MLG players are to good. People dont like when people are good at something.
