MFW based solely on those numbers Destiny is still a flop.
Even if you said every single one of those numbers were people buying the ps4 bundles its still losing 150,000,000 dollars

For now but the 500,000,000 is what activist on intends to spend on the franchise. Not just this installment. There's also at least three dlc so...
-
That number was if every person in that list bought the 400 dollar PS4 bundle. The more realistic number will be around 100,000,000 dollars in sales for day one. Which is a lot, but it's still a flop in any investors eyes.
-
You'd be right to say that it's a bit of a flop as it stands but there's a lot to yet be considered.
-
True, that number doesn't include digital sales or merchandise. But it's still not as big as I'm sure Activision was hoping for.
-
You might be right but I suppose only time will tell.
-
Yes. But these are only day of release pre-order sales. There's still two more games to be made and a whole lot more copies to be sold.
-
Maybe, I didn't go too in depth with the math on it, plus we don't know what the actual budget for the game is considering Urk confirmed it wasn't the rumored $500 million.
-
Still, let us say for easy math that its 1.2 million people who pre ordered it. Lets say 1 million paid 60 bucks for it while the other 200,000 paid 150 bucks for it That's still only 62,000,000 dollars. Which is a huge flop considering.
