They did that in Dragon Age: Origins too, I really liked how that worked. Since Bungie's playing really close to the vest on Awoken and Exos, I'm not sure how much they'd be willing to reveal as far as those origins. Humans should be simpler, since last time I checked they could be found pretty much all over Earth. Now, another way to get some variety would be to have the new Guardian's spawn point based on their class. Titans could start near some demolished war machines (were they fighting on the side of the machines or protecting someone from them?) Hunters near a cave (tracking down a dangerous creature?) and Warlocks near some kind of shrine-like building (protecting the shrine or trying to destroy it?).

  • Yeah DA: O was a great game. I do hope that Bungie does have something special for Exos and Awoken already. But having a different spawn point for class is an interesting idea as well. Would definitely make each Guardian feel more unique right from the start. Maybe give some details on the significance of each class item (Warlock Bond, Hunter Cape, Titan Mark).

  • Honestly, at this point if it's not in the game already I doubt things will change. There's less than a month till release and there just isn't time. We can still hope this was something that wasn't in the Beta. Having a class-based spawn point was the best way I could think of to have different origins without running into race-based spoiler problems. As far as the class-based items, I actually find them to be partially interchangeable: Cape - Warlocks traditionally wear flowing robes and capes. Hunters benefit from a cape for camouflage because it helps disguise their outline. Sash - It doesn't get in the Titan's way while pummeling and slamming their way across the field of combat. It doesn't get in the Warlock's way while lobbing magic across the field of combat. Bond - Same as sash except it works for all three classes. Your mileage may vary.
