How do people think Advance Warfare ripped off TitanFall?
Do you guys [i]seriously[/i] believe that Sledgehammer saw TitanFall at E3 2013, and decided to implement the exosuit stuff in [b]under a year?[/b] This game was in the works long before TitanFall was even announced. There's no damn way they could have done it, period.
It just seems like a lot of people here have no understanding of how game design works. The exosuit is core to the gameplay, thus it needs to be properly designed and have sufficient time allotted to it to make sure everything works. Once again, there's [b]no way[/b] they could have implemented the exosuit stuff in a few months without it being complete crap. The ignorance on display is kind of staggering...

1 ReplyI quit Advanced Warfare (and Call of Duty all together) a few days ago because of one reason. Teammates. I go up against 6 guys that all play like GB pub stompers, and my team is full of guys sitting in corners with crossbows and pistols not doing jack. It angers me that I have to go extremely try hard mode to manage to pull him team at least close to winning while everyone else goes 2-7 not helping at all. I'm making my way towards Hardline because when I was playing the Beta, my teammates there played like they actually wanted to win. I'll only give Call of Duty another chance if their next game is based off of World War 2. As for right now, no more Call of Duty for me. I'll happily be waiting for Hardline and playing GTAV as of now.

There are some similarities, but I don't think they ripped them off. Keep in mind that AW has been in development since the launch of MW3.

This lead to the whole "shop it around and see if another publisher is interested" which is what lead to Vince and Jason being fired. I don't think its a stretch that Acti knew what was coming from TF and lined this up to match them.

But can you blame them for doing it, game companies do it all the time and why not, if it is something you like then put it in your game. They see that people are exited for stuff in titanfall and they say, sure we can do that too. Also it isnt a complete copy, CoDs is a much more simplistic version so again it would not be hard.

Most games implement the good stuff from other games to make theirs better, doesn't mean it's a rip. Having advanced human abilities isn't a far fetched unique idea almost all games do it. They just so happened to have similar ideas, it was bound to happen.

Most people are stupid, ignorant, or apathetic. Someone who is smart and reasonable will see both the pros and cons to [b]Advanced Warfare[/b]'s new features.

It looks like a horrific blend on Titanfall and Crysis except the Exo suit sucks compared the the Nano suit, there are no giant robots and the game doesn't look half as fluid as either. It looks like a jittery awkward version of both games with all the good stuff removed.

So you are implying that cod will be good and in your argument that would indicate they were working on titan fall way before E3 2013
