As an addendum on the in-game LFG type system, I also propose the game have an in-game friends list.
The reason for this is my PSN friends list is exclusively for actual friends and family. I will never add a random that I've played with in one game. An in-game friends list fixes this issue. That way I can keep track of the people I've enjoyed playing Destiny with, in Destiny.

Bungie talked about this some time ago. They didn't want people managing yet another list of friends just to play their game, so that's why they made it so that Guardians are named your PSN or Xbox gamertag by default. It's also the reason why we don't have ingame friends list. Unfortunately Bungie won't be moving on the issue. We won't get to name our Guardians and we won't have separate friends list. What a bummer! :(
