Thanks for putting mine up there JB. Can I call you JB? The bulletin board in the tower can also be pulled up in a menu. You can post for anything. Any amount of players. Your short one for a raid, you post for one. You want to farm Devils Lair? Post it. It must be server wide. Chat in the game is needed. Chat won't work for LFG. Not enough players around you. You may get lucky. We need to communicate.

I like the sound of JB, it's catchy! I think a menu would be pretty convenient too, but a board is really nice if you want to be able to gear-check people before inviting (assuming people stay near the boards which they probably won't). It's tricky to really know what's best. Ultimately we're trying to come up with ideas that are plausible and create less stress on the developers to implement, but at the same time it seems like there needs to be a lot more than just a bulletin board or a menu in order for some of these features to work. Unfortunately the more extravagant ideas are not in the loop because we're stuck suggesting primitive items like chat and other basic social features! But let's put that aside and dream for a moment... What if: 1. You could gear-check right within the bulletin board or menu? 2. You could queue up with specified intent (e.g. I want to be the sniper, and I want to do achievements at the same time) 3. There were polls or quiz systems in response to queues (e.g. "Would you be comfortable talking with us on mics?" or "Would you be comfortable playing the sniper & doing achievements?") 4. There was a preset checklist/filter you could mark to help the game phase you with players of the same personality at the Tower? (e.g. "I prefer meeting people who are playing Crucible matches right now" or "I can't use a mic at this time") 5. There was an -optional- rating system where you can rate fellow Guardians on Friendliness, Cooperation, and other positive factors (with the impact of the rating varying depending on play circumstances. e.g. someone who invites you for 5 minutes and then rates you low will have less meaning then if someone does a whole raid with you and felt your cooperation was 'meh').

  • Like it all. I was trying to keep it simple. LOL! It would work.
