Although I don't qualify to be a member, I quite like the foundations of this clan. I respect their gender exclusiveness, but I would also like to see a clan that accepted all parents in general. When I used to be in a Battlefield 3 clan some of the people I played with were middle-aged parents juggling between gaming and real life, and it was nice getting to know about how they juggle it all. What I'm most curious about though is if DoD accept fathers in a same-sex relationship. If so I think it's quite a step forward in the gaming community because at the end of the day, the important thing is that we're all here to play.

There is no prejudice within this clan and if indeed there are fathers out there who are in a same sex relashionship there is no reason for them to feel excluded from a group like this :-) race, colour, beliefs, sexuality are all things not relevant within the clan. Family and gaming are and no matter your background there's always a place for dad's, expectant dad's, step dad's, grand dad's, god fathers regardless of things like your sexuality. This is a truly diverse community that's we have over at the DoD, one I'm proud to be a part of, a true galactic brotherhood who come together with the time we have left at the end of our days to unite and fight back the darkness We are the dad's of destiny :-) Thanks for your comment friend! I think I can clarify this one. We are a group of dads. Nothing more. Nothing less. While that seems gender exclusive we are looking for an Alliance with a sort of Mothers of Destiny group. The exclusivity only belongs in our gender. Not our age or race. And I can say that while I am not of a same sex relationship, that I have seen no disrespect towards any or even a forum asking about it. So the answer in my opinion is that we are accepting of ALL dads. No matter their sexual orientation. All that matters is we are Dads and that's the key behind our support group. Hope this helps! Admin, you guys can correct me if I am work!

  • Thanks, glad I could get someone from the group to give me a reply =] I wasn't exactly taking a jab at the type of exclusiveness you exhibit, but I admit I wasn't being clear about what I meant so I apologise for that. It's just that if there is a similar clan that accepts both male and female parents I'd like to see Bungie give them the spotlight as well some time in the future. In fact, I'd even recommend a community spotlight just for good clans in general.

  • No apologies needed - I think that with this being one of the First Community Spot lights Deej just saw something that he liked because of the Community that we are. Destiny is an amazing game and being a father is an amazing part of life - we now have a community that can support eachother and there is a VAST amount of knowledge in that community to help with all things in life - Plenty of other Clans will be recognized for other things I am sure, this was just the first of many in a Long line of recognition to be dished out - All dads are welcome to join and Again, if our Admin feel I have overstepped then they're more than welcome to correct me or step in- I think they all know im extremely involved in the Community - Hope this helps ! and no matter the system send us an invite - we don't mind playing with other guys/gals who aren't parents!
