what I find strange was in game the wizards had solar sheilds.

That's what I'm saying. The Hive are a void based raced, so you'd expect them to have shields made of void energy. With the solar shield they have right now, their shield is weak against solar damage, the same element it's made out of. I'm suggesting they swap the shields, but keep the same weaknesses so that the end result would be a hive wizard with a void shield, but that void shield would still be weak against solar damage.

Yea what your saying makes sense. Also, would you call those walls of darkness hive knights would throw up void shields?

The knight's shields are something different entirely. Like the Cabal's big ass shields, they're deployable shields rather than over shields, they're only deployed for a short time, and they completely block out incoming damage from a single direction for a short amount of time. Because of the way they function, I think we should classify both as simply deployable shields, or perhaps a bit more accurate, deployable walls.
