EDIT:
Some people are apparently having a hard time reading this topic, so I will spell out what the subject is in nice small words -- Topic is about the store saying info about a Digital Guardian Edition being on the Xbox One (the gaming system that looks like a VCR with an ( X ) on it) it is not good that Bungie has not said anything on the Digital Guardian Edition being on the X1 or not since they have only dodged questions (people asking stuff).
Hope that now people will be able to understand the topic with it being written like it's for a child.
So, apparently Best Buy is recommending that people should get the Digital Guardian Edition for the Xbox One after they've been cancelling orders from having too many. They are also giving a $50 discount to one of three possible choices -- with one being the Digital Guardian Edition.
So, if this was going to come out anyways, then why can Bungie themselves not give a straight answer, and instead choose to just ignore it? Still not too thrilled at their actions (or inaction, in this case).
Also, the main subject of this topic is what is in the title, that Best Buy has confirmed the Digital Guardian Edition for Xbox One, and the problem is is that Bungie still hasn't given any shred of information on the subject. They also have never said that the Digital LE would be exclusive or not since all they've done is ignore the question.

Edit2:
Credit goes to SHIELDCaptain for finding this link but more evidence towards the Digital Guardian Edition being for the Xbox One, too, so why can't Bungie be bothered to give any direct confirmation?

They are waiting for MS to announce digital preorders support for x1. Which might happen next week at gamescom. We will see I guess
-
This is why I do my preorders through Gamestop. They have their computers set up to allow so many preorders of the collectors edition of games and the limited editions of games and once they hit that mark it won't allow them to do anymore preorders.

The sku listed in the email is for a $50.00 gift card xbox gift card. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstemplatemapper.jsp?sourceType=product&qp=&ks=960&sp=-bestsellingsort+skuidsaas&listingType=listing&listflag=true&sc=Global&list=n&usc=All+Categories&type=page&sourceId=1219043332980&productId=1219043332980&id=pcat17006&iht=y&cp=1&nrp=15&skuId=9879272&pagetype=page&pageMode=searchmode&st=categoryid%24abcat0701012&pageid=pcat17071

Sku makes it look legit.
-
Whelp I know where and what I'm preordering now.
-
It's the stores fault for the cancelations, not Bungie's. If they sell more copies than they themselves had procured that's their mistake. Bungie has no responsibility to make up for someone else's screw up.
-
Well that's cool of Best Buy to offer the credit, and would turn out to be a pretty sweet deal for those that want the Digital Guardians edition.
-
Bungie isn't the publisher, they are the developer. Activision is the publisher, they are in charge of the number of copies being produced.

Edited by sergeantawesome: 8/8/2014 1:47:47 PMa $50 discount? That's awesome. Wish I went through best buy now. It's actually BBs fault for taking too many orders.
-
Maybe Best Buy didn't get the memo that there is no digital guardian edition for Xbox one.
-
Should never preorder through bestbuy. Just sayin
-
....wonder how long it'll take for it to go to the other retailers, or even when it'll be available to preorder.
