You can check out the stat boost it gives with my skill calculator at destinytheguide.com/loadouts.html
As far as how to remove the lock. I don't know how that works. I assumed that you'll just pay a guy at the tower to reset it like in every other game I've ever played.

Very nice. How did you figure out the boost it gives exactly?
-
I had to measure it so its not exact, but all in all the stats are probably only off a point or two. Its all been updated to the latest version we got to play. They boosted the stat bonus for a few items including illumination after the alpha.
-
Interesting. So all you know is locking in increases your stats? You don't know if it does anything else?
-
Yes. Sadly, i do not know how the lock is removed. I will be following this thread in case you find out.
-
Lock is permanent. However when you lock t you get another copy of that subclass to level which levels up faster.
-
Link proof of that please. That is the point of this thread. Because i hear that often but no one offers up proof.
-
Of what that the lock is permanent or the cloned subclass?
-
The cloned subclass please.
-
I'll go find a link then.
-
thank you. tired of bumping this d:
-
I remember it being explained in a bungie mail sack. Just looking for the right one.
-
okay. I can wait.
-
I wasn't really trying to look for that as i think it's permanent. I'm looking for linkable proof that locking in a subclass makes another subclass that's identical to yours. Meaning if you max gunslinger and lock in there is another gunslinger class in your 3rd subclass slot.
