Three Subclasses?
I think there is a third subclass that will either be released with the game or as future DLC. Here's why:
- There is an empty spot in the subclass inventory, although this could just be for extra subclass items once locking in a subclass.
- With three types of damage (Arc, Solar, Void) and each subclass seeming to match to one of the types*, it makes sense that each class would have a subclass that matches to each type.
*[b]Arc[/b] - Striker, Bladedancer
[b]Void[/b] - Defender, VoidWalker
[b]Solar[/b] - Gunslinger, Sunsinger
This would mean we are getting an Arc Warlock, Solar Titan, and Void Hunter. What do you think those subclasses would be if they exist?
However, datamining hasn't found a third subclass for the classes and Bungie hasn't mentioned anything about the number of subclasses. So what do you think? Third subclass for this game or no?

6 RepliesNo, the third slot will be a combination of the first two that you can customize accordingly. I.E, Ward of Dawn special but with thunder fist, with flash grenade.

I'm fairly sure the third subclass slot is merely a leftover asset from an earlier build. In the alpha and beta builds we played on in June and July, all subclasses had an option called 'Illumination' (I think that was what it was called). This option would lock all choices in and give you an unleveled copy of it. However, Bungie removed this from the game shortly before launch. They mentioned it in a weekly update at some point as well I believe.
