I disagree 100% with this, I got some rare purples, mined for spin metal like crazy, mined on the moon for the brief window it was open. i think everything we worked for should sure as hell transfer!

As far as time lost levelling.... Really? A whole 8 levels and you feel as if it's too much to do again? Sure XP is at triple speed or what ever but it will only take a day at most and you will be past 8 and better geared than ever. Please be patient and look forward to a smooth launch. Either way won't effect people buying the game. Will any of you honestly cancel if you can't carry over? I do however believe there is some compensation for the time I spent testing. this isn't my first beta, I know it's meant to test the limits and find flaws in the system. However, it is still a video game made for entertainment, so exploring and grinding are a part of that. If nothing else, they should keep only the legendary and other rare items in but make people level up again due to the extra xp given in the beta. There's no harm letting people keep the unique stuff they can't even use til they level cap. Other betas let you have special emblems or cosmetic features to represent you as a beta tester, so maybe unique character creation options for beta testers would be nice. Something always shown to others that is exclusive to them.

People who disagree are either greedy or used to the normal way beta works. The carryover is like a reward for playing. And helping to find the bugs. I don't see how big of a problem it is because everyone is at lv 8.… on the other hand the people who got their equipment and put in a lot of time will be angry. The decision to carryover characters is one that is bad in both directions. Just look at which has the overwhelming pros vs cons.

If anything should carry over it should be the ship, sparrow, class items and emblems. That way it's still fair and keep all the cool aesthetics that we've worked hard for. Other than that keeping those legendaries for later and maxed out weapons and skills would ruin pvp even more and ruin the experience for pve when you find awesome loot

You like many other crybabies " delete it all ! " you forget dude some of us do have iyems that were presented to us from bungie as a present for crashing the game hundreds of times ! So basicly because you didnt participate In the special events you dont care about items and such . Just simpky crashing the game wasnt the point of the beta it was to get full feedback on all adpects of the game from entertainment value to any and all glitches found . Fir this and continued support they held special events and gave special items so yeah continue to prove your stupidity and keep crying " delete it all " just cause you didnt get the point of the beta

What I'm hearing is you're upset because you didn't get anything good during the beta woopdydoo but some of us really enjoyed getting great gear and for everyone who's complaining it will make people op playing the available missions in the beta alone gets you to level 6 or 7 even though we who played the beta didn't have much time to do so we made bonds with our characters and all we want is to let those characters we've grown so attached to experience the entire game with us and not just to be left behind because people are upset about getting owned in pvp (and just for the record the game glitched in the beta build and let me play pvp at level 2 with my 2nd character and I had no problem reaching the top of the leaderboard and completely ahnialiting my enemies) so please don't screw us and our beloved guardians over bungie

...and the hours we put into the game during the beta provided Bungie with a very valuable SERVICE, that helped them make a smooth launch and a better game possible. A service that a company like they would normally have to PAY people to provide. Because---even if you are a kid (and I'm not)---people's time and energy has value. Now, Bungie compensated its beta testers---in part---by allowing us pre-release access to the game in exchange for our time and efforts. But the counter argument is that most of us had to pre-order the game in order to gain that access. If Bungie had left the beta closed, then I would agree with you. pre-relaase access would have been fine...and throw in an in-game token to comemorate the time and effort the testers gave them. But then Bungie decided to open the beta to the public....and allowed them access to the same in-game token. So you now have a situation where someone who shows up for 15 minutes on one day, walks away with the same token as someone who was willing to give Bungie many hours of their time and effort. That---if you are going to do ANYTHING to recognize that effort---is simply not fair. So IMO, letting the testers who pre-ordered---and they know who those people are----carry over their charcter stats to the full game release is a SMALL thing to do. One that won't negatlively impact play in the final game, except in Iron Banner events. ...and you fix that by simply not holding any of those special events until new players have had several weeks to grind away, to close the gap.
