Top 5 Halo Games

Bungie has shown the world what awesomeness was. They put so much effort into every game they made. But everybody has their favorites. Here are mine. #5: Halo 4 I was not much of a fan of Halo 4. The multiplayer was unbalanced and the story was a mess compared to the previous games. I still have faith in 343 though. This game may have been a failure but since 343 is making the Master Chief Collection and Halo 5(which surprisingly looks pretty good) I forgive them. This game was amazing for some people but it did not meet my expectations. After the complaints about the death of dual wielding in Halo Reach, you would expect 343 would do something but they didn't. Also the graphic style was really different for a Halo game, but not in a positive way. I may just hate this game because it doesn't present the nostalgic vibe of the original trilogy. I'd almost rather play a call of duty game than this. #4: Halo Reach I was actually a little bit disappointed by this game. It was ok, but the plot wasn't very original compared to the original trilogy. I also did not like the sound effects, weapon selection, weapon redesigns and the graphic style. There were only a couple of cool weapons in this game. I understand it is supposed to be pretty different from the first three games because it is a prequel, but it doesn't look like a halo game. Neither does Halo 4. There were only three things that really impressed me in this game. That was the forge, firefight and that one trophy room Easter Egg. #3: Halo Combat Evolved This is where I get to the fully amazing games in the franchise. I know a lot of people would put this first on the list, but I just didn't play this one as much as it's two sequels. This game was extremely revolutionary. It introduced a diverse array of weapons that are each beneficial in different fights. The campaign was sweet but it was the multiplayer that made this game memorable. Every game mode was fun unlike most shooters where there are about two fun gamemodes. The music and sound effects were phenomenal. All of the alien races and vehicles were very original. Every level was enjoyable. This game was nearly flawless. #2: Halo 3 I know this one had the best campaign and weapon set out of every halo game but it did not exploit enough nostalgia as the first two. There is almost nothing more epic than Master Chief and The Arbiter teaming up. Wait a minute, Gandalf and Yoda would make a way cooler team. This game definitely lived up to the first two games. One reason this game was so great was it wasn't very different than Halo 2. I know people hate Call of Duty for that reason, but in the Halo universe, a major change can hurt the franchise... For example, the mysterious disappearance of the ability to dual wield in Halo Reach or changing the freaking melee button in Halo Reach. I can't tell you how many times I try to kill my friends in that game and press b and then get killed. I'm getting sidetracked. This game had some hilarious Easter Eggs like the Rooster Teeth/ Red vs. Blue cameo. God, I just love this game so much. It added gravity hammers, mongeese(don't make fun of me that's what I call them), elephants, hornets, brute choppers, detachable turrets, forge, armor customization, achievements, four player co-op(sort of), weird special ability things, and tons of other awesomely random crap. #1: Halo 3 ODST I know a lot of people hated this game but I personally lov- Just kidding that game sucks. The real #1: Halo 2 My good old friend Halo 2. What is there not to love about this game? It had the most levels in the campaign out of any main halo game. Let's see what this game added... Dual wielding, vehicle hijacking, driving friendly CPUs, smgs, battle rifles, usable energy swords, usable fuel rod guns, boss battles, covenant carbines, sniper jackals, brutes, drones/buggers, amazing multiplayer maps, xbox live compatibility, skulls, brute plasma rifles, the prophets, Earth, a new halo ring, flyable banshees, gauss warthogs, specters(or whatever they are called), scarabs, a hotter Cortana design, that annoying Commander Keyes lady who repeats the same lines over and over again, drivable wraiths, cooler sniper rifles, the arbiter and his campaign, friendly grunt CPUs, a funnier Sergeant Johnson, Gravemind, that one guy that gives you an award in the beginning, you can play as an elite in multiplayer, more customization, a cliffhanger ending, ok... You get the point. Halo 2 was the best Halo game no matter what you say. I forgot to mention you can dual wield needlers. So what are your top 5 Halo games?

I disagree with your list. I love all the Halo games so putting them in order is kind of pointless. It's like lining up a bunch of super models and trying to decide which ones are hotter. They're all hot, so if one is hotter than another it's not by much. As for my top Halo games... 8: Halo Spartan Assault 7: Halo Wars 6: Halo 3 ODST #5: Halo 3 Perfect campaign levels, but the story was told too sparingly. It seems like a lot of exposition was thrown in to bridge gaps between. Also, Cortana was MIA for too long. #4: Halo 2 I loved the story with the Arbiter. I just wish it was told better. The gameplay was clunky and the missions weren't as well planed out as later games. It also seemed like the game ended too early, because it did. Dual wielding is over rated, I prefer a Battle Rifle/DMR or an alien counterpart anyway. #3: Halo Reach Finally brought in some new gameplay. Long live Jetpacks and sprint! The story could have been better, but it skipped too much so it always felt like you missed something. The cut-scenes basically existed to just set up the missions instead of building characters. #2: Halo CE Clunky, but I have a ton of nostalgia for it. #1: Halo 4 Halo 4 wins for having the most well told story, best graphics, tightest gameplay, refreshing multiplayer open to players of all skill levels, and instead of a throwaway Firefight mode it has a second single player campaign in the totally underrated Spartan Ops mode. I hope sprint will forever be a part of Halo. The story was interesting on several levels. The Forrunners are finally revealed, and the terminals give further backstory on the very compelling motives of the Didact. Cortana and the Chief were written like real people dealing with personal problems and the new characters all felt important. The Spartan Ops cutscenes carried the story even further and come together to form a feature film worth watching even without the missions. I've been playing Halo 4 for almost 2 years and I keep coming back. Honorable Mention/Shameless plug: Halo Gallant Belle http://www.kevinberryman.com/2bitproductions/bits/halogb.asp I can't wait for the Master Chief Collection. It's going to be my addiction until Halo 5 drops.
