Persistent centipede errors on sign on after being able to play without issue
[b]Update: If you have been blocked by recurring Centipede errors after having been able to play successfully (#3 below), we are applying a fix that will resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the solution will reset your characters. This is expected to happen over the next few hours. [/b]
WORKAROUND: To ensure that you no longer hit this issue, do not delete characters after using the vault in the tower.

We've been investigating the reports of centipede errors that have been popping up on the forums. There are a few ways you can hit centipede errors.
1. I have never connected and get centipede when I try to sign on
2. I randomly get centipede when I play
[b][u]3. I was able to play just fine, and all of a sudden I get centipede errors all the time and can't sign in[/u].[/b]
1 and 2 appear to be networking issues. This thread is concerned with [b]#3[/b].
#3 is an issue that we're tracking internally that I want to get more info about. Based on user reports and assistance, we identified a timing issue having to do with swapping quickly items between characters using the tower vault. We applied a fix and did some fixup of a number of affected users. However, not all affected users could be fixed up. So we're continuing to investigate solutions. We suspect there may be more ways to hit this error, and we need your help to find them.
If you were at some point able to play [b]after the maintenance period[/b], but then were blocked from signing on due to centipede errors, please reply to this post with the following:
1. Gamertag / Online ID of all affected profiles (send this to me in a PM if you're not comfortable posting this information publicly)
2. What was the last time you were able to properly sign in and play (date, time and time zone)
3. What was the last time you tried to sign in and got centipedes (date, time and time zone)
4. Had you used the account vault at all between being able to play and seeing persistent centipedes?
5. Have you deleted any characters between being able to play and seeing persistent centipedes?
6. if you had not done 4 or 5, please give as detailed an account of your play between when you last played, and when you started seeing centipede errors.

PSN: KHALginger I was able to log in yesterday afternoon. However my original character (Titan) was gone. My warlock was still there however. Thought nothing of it. As of today I have been unable to connect to servers at all.

Was following the story quests from when I first logged on until about 12:30pm. I headed to the tower to just look around and check everything out. I logged out while in the tower, but never once checked the vault. I might also add that I was on my parents connection this morning allowing me to play, but this afternoon I had to come back to my university's network as I work/live near my university. Already contacted IT here, said nothing they can do. Edit: I wanted to add that I tried downloading the beta on ps3 to see if I could play that way, and still ran into centipede error. I again contacted my IT earlier today and they again told me that they can do nothing about my network while on campus. However it works just fine off campus, I just don't understand because no other game I have has a problem trying to connect. I will continue to patiently wait as I know you guys are doing everything possible to rectify the issues at hand.

Edit: Just attempted to log in at 8:15pm central and still received the error

gamertag: statelesskiller last sign in: 6:28PM central time 7/23/14 last centipede:6:30PM central time 7/23/14 since i havent deleted any characters or used a vault basically what happened is i was just playing. i had just done a devil tank walker event in russia and came back to the tower cashed in a few engrams when i was slapped with "contacting destiny servers" even though EVERYONE was moving as if there was no problem. continuing on i log back in with success and go to play conclave for the first time with my friend who isnt experiencing this issue at all even though we have played constantly together for the last 7 hours. i get slapped with the connecting to destiny servers thing again. get kicked out. and i log back in easily. reconnect to the game. this happens 2 more times before i give up on it. i then try another game where i quickly gave up on that 2. i then went back to russia and explored and have been doing that the last 10 minutes or so and no centipede in sight hope that helps you

Everytime I select "(X) to sign in" I go through the typical loading screen but I'm instantly slammed with centipede. It's literally unplayable from my end.
