Titanfall is a really great multiplayer game. Bungie can learn quite a few things about vertical movement from Titanfall/Respawn.

  • Titanfall is one of the better multiplayer games and your right destiny can learn from how they set up their pvp. Bc destiny is severely lacking in that department. And destiny pvp for the most part is forgettable.

  • I was amazing at titanfall, but that is only because of the ability to fight on multiple places like walls. I hope the movement in destiny gives me that type of edge.

  • I got pretty good at titanfall. Now if I could only get good at destiny

  • I'm sticking to the argument that it's call of duty with mechs. Having that much power in a foot is retarded. Parkour mechanics are cool but it's just one of those games where you need serious players instead of casual ones.

  • indeed except for the fact that Destiny is a MMO and its a proven fact that you cannot balance PVP in a PVE based MMO ever.so titanfall for the PVP and destiny for the PVE. and tbh the movement while on foot in titanfall feels so much better than destiny anyday of the week.

  • Agreed, great game....but a great game with a lackluster back-story. ...and Respawn has run headlong into what's looking like a Bungie masterpiece. A great game AND master story-telling.

  • nothing from bungie will ever be as good as halo 1.even the rest of the halos they did afterwards imo were terrible story wise.maybe because they focused too much on the pvp multplayer aspect but nothing has wowed me as much as halo 1 did.

  • Well there cant really be a backstory if there is no actual story...

  • There is a story, but they never fleshed it out beyond "outline" form. Bungie is genius at crafting compelling stoires. I was not that big of a fan of Halo...the video games....but I was such a huge fan of the world that they created with the games that I read almost all the novels that were written to extend that world. No one's going to write (or read) a book about the world in which Titanfall takes place.

  • I only played the TF beta on PC. However imo Bungie has done a better job with verticality and vertical movement than they have. Destiny is really fast paced and it is easy to navigate the environment once you get to know the map. The Mars map is a perfect example it this. Sooo many routes once you know how to jump around it.

  • Destiny's vertical movement (especially with the Hunter) is easier to learn. Titanfall's system is richer and deeper. Some guys got so good at the parkour, that they (literally) could make you miss them at point-blank range. They could run along and hang on walls in ways that would impress even Spider-man.

  • I guess that's your opinion but I would have respectfully disagree. Respawn has innovated vertical movement Bungie hasn't. Bungie has only added double jump which feels slow and hard to control. They added risky jumps (which is okay) and designed some parts of the maps in a terrible way that makes it frustrating to to double jump/glide onto. The way vertical movement is right now is actually fine. The problem is that when your jump is too short and you miss your landing zone, you should be able to grab on to the ledge and move up.

  • Change to the warlock, they can glide

  • Yeah but Destiny's alpha is more entertaining (and polished) than Titanfall. Came with 4 game modes and like 35 maps, they could have cut the maps to do and implemented...... Well a while lot more. Movement is fun in that game but end of the day it's a $60 beta for Titanfall 2

  • Yeah no, Destiny is in no way more or just as fast paced as Titanfall...

  • I agree. The verticality of the maps and the player movement speed is incredible and fast paced. Not to mention fun. Would've been better if it had a decent narrative, but nonetheless its still a great game.
