Warlock Armbands petition
I was just hoping maybe bungie could increase the size of the armband because it actually pales to comparison with hunter and titan cosmetic items.
Hopefully all the other warlocks here can help this get heard.

EDIT: I'm fully aware there are holograms armbands. They dont show as much as the higher tier hunter/titan cosmetics (Ive seen all the color and detail)
EDIT: I'm aware we have trench coats. I'm strictly talking about the cosmetic items comparison between other classes

I think the higher-level legendaries will stand out more. Also, I'd like to point out that Bungie has at most a month more of production at this point, and completely changing the type of class-specific gear for the Warlock simply wouldn't be possible in that time. I think your best bet is asking them to just make the bonds a little bigger.

Maybe an easy fix to increase the cosmetic piece's visibility could be to place the band on both arms.

yes armbands its eeeehh useless, cant even notice that its there... why not give coat simbols... in the back area or cool helmets simbols... but that tiny armband its just crappy small lol

Agreed - I think a unique looking gauntlet on their 'space magic hand' would be a much better alternative. Nothing beats the full length cloak of a hunter though.

Agreed 100% - it may seem ridiculous, but I'm actually struggling with my Warlock choice because of "flair envy"! The hunter was my least favorite class until I saw the colossal awesome capes! Galactically gorgeous. So at LEAST give the Warlock something I can actually SEE. Don't know why I bother, though - this late in the timeline, there's no way sprite redesign is going to be enough of a priority for devs, when I'm sure there are actual balancing issues and bugs and netcode optimization to do...

i understand higher rank gear will stand out but I want our class item to stand out too. I maybe asking too much but if the arm band could have a shoulder piece or something. Warlocks class item are something that signifies our devotion to the study of the traveler, please make it look a little bit appealing bungie thats all we are asking.

It's compact to prevent it from getting in the way of casting. It also helps you reference WWII Germany.

I wish for the holograms on the armbands to become a standard and that the hologram occupied more of the arm rather that specifically over the band itself. It would be nice to have holographic patterns all down the arm(s).

I love the game , the only thing I would change is the armbands lol, in the grand scheme of the game sounds stupid but I feel like this game or my character will b with me for awhile and I want to be proud of my unique characters "flare" I think it would help if they covered the whole arm or top half

They should put the armband on both arms and when you get a high level one it should have an elemental aura around it. That would be sweet

4 RepliesI think the armband, all though are agreeably very hard to notice sometimes, is good the way it is. When they designed the game, and the warlock, they had an image for the warlock. And the style of the warlock kind of seems to be the most minimalistic of the classes, which seems like a reflection on the characteristics they had in mind for the warlock. Petitioning this, in my honest opinion, seems like a petition on the overall character design. I'm pretty sure Bungie has an idea of what they are doing, and as much as we all have the right to petition, they are entitled to their ideas of course. If you are so worried about a cosmetic item, one that doesn't at all effect the gameplay of the character, then you should chose a different class, if cosmetics are that important. I personally love the cosmetics of the titan, yet I love the warlock play-style, and rather play that. Also, I feel like that bungie picked a visual representation of that play-style for warlock, and from their previous descriptions of the warlock that representation seems to fit their background story the best; they probably did that on purpose. Which is why I enjoy the minimalistic armband, because it reflects the play-style I choose to play. Not what I chose to look like. Again, I'm not saying you have to agree or think that the armband is pretty, I certainly didn't like the armband at first, I just want to put my input in because I think it's pretty drastic to petition this, since your petitioning the creative ideas of someone at bungie who designed this, probably even a team. I think putting your opinion would have been alright, but a petition? I know if I had been behind this idea, I might even be sad you were petitioning it. Think of poor Deej, he loves the warlock with all his heart! Don't worry Deej, I personally love the warlock! I just want to see more of it because we barely have been giving much to look at in terms of armor variety!

I would like to see some more customization with the armor in the game instead of putting the symbols and crap on armbands, and stuff for all the classes, allow those to be but on the different armor parts. They can keep the customized class specific items, but it would also be nice to put those things on instead of just being able to change the armor color (which I think waiting to level 20 to do is kind of silly.)

Why use an armband at all? if you want something flashy and easily noticeable just give the warlock a sash, something to go around his waist. make it colorful, or blingy, My second thought was, I've noticed in the robes there is a strap that crosses from the left shoulder to the right hip, why not use this as the class cloth? Make it have badges or emblems on it. Idk, just some ideas. I personally don't mind the armbands, the warlock already has the awesome robes and the coolest abilities.

I agree. Compared to the Hunter and even the Titan (the class I play) armbands of Warlocks don't stand out. Sure higher level ones become a bit more noticeable, but it's an armband. I'm more likely to notice a Hunter's majestic cape and the Titan's butt skirt (yes, I named it that). I'd sign for some upgrades to their class gear, but can I ask if anyone else is curious to why a Titan would wear a marking like that? I joke "Alright, I'll look cool if I wear something! Wait I have nothing other then armor... I'll use a tablecloth! Yes!"

I changed and changed and didn't see the difference. But I believe the idea of the creative staff of Bungie was to make this purposely discreet as a way to identify a more secretive and misterious behavior of the warlock. Anyway, I believe that any change to the subject, if it happens, will probably come on some dlc after the launch 'cause it'll probably take A LOT of time to change the aesthetics of this matter. It's easier to make the armbands more visual appealing and noticeable than change what is the cosmetic item of warlocks.

I'm really excited to hit level 20 and acquire full robes but I too would really appreciate the Warlock arm band being extended to a full sleeve and/or shoulder piece.
