Nah. It's very obvious that Call of Duty is the Transformers of video games. Every character is pretty much voiced by a celebrity. There isn't much depth or characterization to them.
When I see a Call of Duty character I see a typical soldier. Someone I don't care about in terms of entertainment. While the franchise succeeds in delivering high paced action that is somewhat fueled by the actors performances, I don't see anything resembling the iconic prowess of Halo. Maybe in the days when Call of Duty was honorable and based it's games on veterans, but not today.

Edited by Higgy-Doc: 7/20/2014 6:33:41 PMHow do they not? The Master Chief is a given, obviously. Bungie shows simple, fast paced yes, but brilliantly timed character changes in the Arbiter throughout Halo 2. In all respects, he is the main character of the game because we see the changes within him. The thing about Halo is, I think, is it's iconic impact that forces players to have their own special relation to the characters during the time we see them. We as a player all have our different connections and appeal to them. Call of Duty is a work of art in every respect, but I don't think it's players can form and relate to the characters progression as diversely as the player who plays Halo.
