• I get baboon on average 1x every IB match since Tuesday. Prior to IB I was getting baboon, but it did not seem to be as often. Primarily PVE is fine, but in crucible/IB I seem to get it every match. - How many times you've hit the 'baboon' error - On average 1x per match - Where you are located, and if you are connected to a home or public (campus, etc.) network - Coastal NC - Home Network - Wired - Your PSN username - twitchlessgamer - Your ISP - Charter Communications 100mbps - Type of networking setup (cable modem, router, etc.) - Motorola Surfboard modem / Linksys Nighthawk router - Results of a http://www.pingtest.net/ test - 62mx ping / 8ms jitter / B* grade

    • After playing Y1 Destiny on wifi with little to no errors or disconnections, Y2 has been a mess. I get babooned daily, sometimes 3-4 times a match. It mostly occurs in 6v6 pvp. I have move to a wired connection, but nothing helps. - How many times you've hit the 'baboon' error - Several times daily. - Where you are located, and if you are connected to a home or public (campus, etc.) network - Home network. - Your PSN username - GamingJones - Your ISP - Comcast - Type of networking setup (cable modem, router, etc.) - Router - Results of a http://www.pingtest.net/ test - ping 47ms, jitter 3ms, packet loss 0%. • In the past day I have gotten the baboon error code 5 times at fairly frequent and regular intervals (then weasel afterwards), and I have never really gotten this code before. I was playing crucible and was getting the error code roughly every two to three games. Located in Iowa using a local Internet provider's internet (apartment). PSN: The_Wis_Badger ISP: ICS Advanced Technologies Using a wired connection through router. From the test: Quality of A, Ping at 33ms, Jitter at 2ms - indicating 0% packet loss. I have tried resetting the router, calling the internet provider (they indicated the internet was normal which is the feedback I was getting from my connection status), and rebuilding the database on my ps4. so far those haven't worked. If there is anything more I can do let me know. Thanks! Badger

          - I have probably hit the baboon error about 30 times - Located in Cleveland, Ohio on my home network - Commodore85 - Cox Communications - Cable Modem --> Netgear R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router --> 4 port gigabit switch --> PS4 (wired) - http://www.pingtest.net/result/120460525.png (I have tried opening the recommended ports on my router but it has had no effect. Also the error was more commonly happening in the Crucible versus PvE until the 1.1.1 update where I have been receiving baboon more often in PvE. I was kicked from the weekly strike several times) Also I use a VIta to Remote Play and have noticed an increase of baboon errors when remote playing since the 2.50 PS update. I would be happy to help in any way. Thanks!

Hi Bungie support, I am not dealing with this issue but yet want to contribute to a solution. My personal opinion on the cause of this (looking at the B ratings from ping-tests)is most likely players their routers blocking packets (firewall set to high) and NAT (Network address Translation) related issues. They shoud be either portforwarding (in order to portforward Bungie needs to inform you which ports need to be port forwarded) or completely disabling their firewall from their network (router) in order to increase network stability avoid NAT. I'm willing to support people through Teamviewer IF supported and authorized by Bungie.

I have been able to play on Destiny before in the same hotel on the same wifi. However after the PSN update I've noticed a significant decrease in my download speed and upload speed to PSN.

I've got the baboon error code 6 times today, using a home network and router. Today is the first time I've ever even had this happen. They mainly happened during raids, and at the tower

Game has become almost unplayable because of constant disconnects... I rarely experience more than 3 in a given hour just because after the third disconnect from a game and getting kicked all the way back to login, having to select character again, reload mission, etc etc etc, I just don't have the patience to continue trying to play and usually just give up. An hour or two later, same thing, and I give up again. Incredibly frustrating - what would have been only several minutes worth of gameplay has now turned into hours wasted trying to reconnect. I will however add that the issue seems to be much less of a problem when playing with groups of friends, but that is just my experience - solo is a no-go at this point, as I get kicked back to orbit every time I hit an environmental loading point. home network wireless connection via WiFi Att DSL rural Texas 89ms ping w/ 13ms jitter
