Iron Banner=False Advertising
Played for the two hours, got nothing. Average 2.5-3.0 k/d. Saw some scrubs on my team get some hand cannons though. If this is how they're gonna be with "rewards" I'm already losing confidence. The "rewards" are like random participation medals. Next time I'll know to just go afk and eat snacks during events like this.
Edit: did get a skirt, but That's a pretty lame ass reward when they advertised:
“Iron Banner has limited time rewards, so show up with your ‘A’ game. Losing a match may make the difference between getting that bad ass Assault Rifle or not.”

If your team one everyone had an equal chance of getting the legendary gear, you had to bring your A game to win the matches.

Any gamer knows that MMO game are random/by chance of recovering an item that's the point of MMOs to keep playing that certain game play till you obtain the item you want!! its the way the creator keeps players playing!!!! If your looking for rewards based on performance than this is the wrong game for you!! Go back to cod if you don't like it then don't play it! Bungie will do fine with out you Bro stop complaining and enjoy the game!!

Suddenly it's cool, and now I need it? If this is going where I think it is, I'm a bit worried. I never played an MMO in my life, primarily because of this kind of nonsense, "give me status! GIMME GIMME GIMME!," ultimately creating very toxic communities in the progress. I was hoping this game would rise above all that crassness, do it's own thing, but if bungie ends up catering to "mass hysteria," count me out.

I am not the best pvper, not a liability as i can carry my weight and have hit 3+ kdr, but I agree with your sentiment. IB needs a more logical reward system, perhaps everyone may get something, but those who truly excelled at capturing/kdr get something more.

The one time I played PVP in beta I got a kill after being killed. Managed to throw my grenade right in a titan's face as he did his me crush you super. I died repeatedly after that laughing entire time. Deleted the hunter rolled a Titan and jumped repeatedly off the tower and everything else I could jump from. Oh well, it's a game and it won't mean much after turning off the console.

Its that RNG. Sure it sucks when you win every single iron banner match at least 20-0 and only like 7 hand cannons and 1 ship was an award. I got 3 hand cannons. Oh and always got some sweet common boots. Can never forget about the boots.

Considering the Iron Banner hasn't been a Deathmatch type of game, K/D ratio probably doesn't factor in. It most likely focuses on points captured/defended.

Yeah I agree with the way the rewards are so randomized it makes me just want to afk during games and go do something else since my participation or effort is not a factor

I played Iron banner 3 out of the 4 times it was up and only ONCE did I see somebody on my team get a legendary weapon and it was the highest scorer on the winning team. Also I'm sure the emblems and armor are limited time rewards. Some ppl are automatically assuming they meant the loot drops by rewards. I think they are more so speaking up the vendor items from Lord Saladin.

"K/D RATIO 1.36", are you PS people not used to bungie know it all stats? we can see that your 2.5-3.0 k/d ratio statement is false. btw... 1.36 is below average on any bungie game, so don't expect great rewards. I am on Xbone so I haven't been able to play Destiny, as a reference I have an average of 7.01 K/D RATIO threw all my halo career. You are waaaay low on the charts kid. edit: I messed up xD, I checked the thing again on halo waypoint and I have a 2.95 K/D with all halo combined... the 7.01 is campaign xD. Now I look like a -blam!-ing asshole (-,_-)

Who cares? It's the beta. This stuff probably won't carry over to the real game anyway. So even if we all got legendary items, then what? Complain about how beta test gear didn't transfer to the main game? It's not even that crucial.

There are other factions, and maybe Iron Banner gives out participation awards while the others award "A" game hardcore players....I was terrible at pvp didn't get any legendary items and could care less.....Cause it's a video game!
